Is it not £10 cheaper at simply games ?

from what I understand you can only get modern warfare early via digital, so not in this case.

You get the campaign early, got an email from tesco yesterday.

hmm I haven't received a code from argos (I preordered it ages ago for 39.99) but you still need the retail disc to play it. unless that only comes into effect after 4th Nov.

edit: I see where I got confused now, this is the digital version of infinite warfare not the retail disc, hence the download description under format...
BUT then it states - Please note: Physical copy of COD:Infinite Warfare will be sent to you by the release date.

... so God knows what shopto are Selling!?!?!

Edited by: "omisnad" 5th Oct 2016

they could literally not program Infinite warfare beyond the first level and no one will ever know,

COD 4 is still as good as it ever was.I feel bad for people refusing to buy just because of £20. Even if they sell COD 4 on its own which I strongly doubt, they will charge around £50-£55. Not worth waiting months just to save that much. No way I could last 6-8 months for something that might not even happen.

I pre-ordered then too and I got an emailed with the early access code earlier today.

It's not £20 though is it, you need to buy Infinite Warfare and judging on fine print you will need to keep that to play COD4 so if you only want COD4 that's £60 please.

and don't forget a spare 130GB hard drive spare to install it onto.

At this point I think I'll stop you and tell you where I am.... I'm out...

By the time they patch it to make it make it'll be another 20gb! Bonkers.

Whoa. Hold up. Is that true?

It sounds like the '30 day' digital version of MWR [when bought via the specific version of the Legacy Edition physical release - and has to be paid for in advance] has an expiry date set to launch of IW, and come release/launch of IW you will then have to have the disc inserted to continue playing MWR.

The Argos mis-priced [£40] physical version of the Legacy Edition is the [original] version that DOESN'T come with the '30 Day' digital code of MWR, so you'll only be able to play it on launch [of IW] when you have the disc.

To be honest Activision handled the messaging incredibly poorly.

If infinite warfare turns out good thats still about £35 for both games. Its a good deal imo.

£35 for 1 re-mastered game I already own (and most fans have played) is expensive. I bought the Bioshock collection last week for the same price but that included 3 games.

Respect your opinion but don't agree. They (Activision) have acted shamefully and should realise due to the fallout of this that they have upset a lot of people. The franchise has been on a downward spiral since MW. It is people who buy this and bow to their will that will ensure that trend continues.

Oh right, i completely ignored my email from Argos as i thought it was the online MP beta code. Interesting. Cheers for letting me know (although i'm still confused we've got them as the '30 Day MWR' promotion didn't exist when the Argos mis-price happened).

Notice how it expires before the IW launch though, proving undoubtedly that you will need the disc of IW come 04/11 if you want to continue playing MWR.

Got my code from Argos yesterday, just finished the campaign, watching the credits right now. Gonna replay it again in Veteran now for the platinum trophy

Gamers should vote with their wallet and refuse to buy IW until Activi$ion decides to release CoD4:Remastered as an individual game.

CoD4 is quite easily an amazing FPS game but no way is it worth £35 or £70 as the whole package Activision is selling.

People should know by now this isn't happening otherwise they wouldn't have locked COD 4 to infinite warfare's disc. The best case situation would be the Legacy Edition getting a massive discount to the price a standalone COD 4 would cost but then your still buying infinite warfare with it.

It doesn't seem impossible for Activision to release CoD4:Remastered separately. They could do it if they wanted.

Just to clear it up for people, as found and sourced by Activision Forums. The only way you can get the 30 day early access to the Call Of Duty: Remastered with regards to retailers is by:

1) GAME
2) Smyths Toys
3) Tesco Online
4) Argos
5) Grainger Games

The alternate methods is by purchasing the following versions of Infinite Warfare on the PlayStation store:

Legacy Edition
Digital Legacy Edition
Legacy Pro Edition
Digital Deluxe Edition

Some retailers are also including (IF you are actually interested in Infinite Warfare) access to a beta period (commences 14/10/16) for Infinite Warfare. A code will be provided. Also included as a pre-order bonus with some retailers is the Terminal map (From MW2).....

I will be playing COD: R only for nostalgic reasons hopefully. OP I don't believe ShopTo are participating in the 30 day early campaign access so may need to be removed.

EDIT: I see the listing includes the campaign.. Just reminded me a friend ordered from here and got it. Not on the list as a retailer for it but who cares if it works it's the main thing. As for pricing. Smyths for £63.99 with PRE5 gets you access to the campaign early or if you are not bothered Simply Games sell the Legacy edition for £59.85. You may get it earlier than the official launch day with Simply also.

Hi lloyd from lloyd, as a fellow lloyd I feel I must inform you that Argos have sent you the 30 day early access code as they are a participating retailer approved to grant early access. Strangely enough Amazon are not on the list? Very strange.

I'm kind of annoyed i bought the legacy edition at shopto if Smyths was selling it cheaper and with the early access code. Shopto basically got free money from me -_-

I may just flog my Legacy Edition sealed when I get it as I can platinum MW before IW is even out and I'm not that bothered about MP.
