Any good? Do they fit them to your height in store or are they bought as boxed?
seems a good price... but... not really sure who they're aimed at though. Any regular golfer would be better getting a fitting. occasional golfers can pickup good sets cheaper than this.

These are reasonably priced, and unless you are extremely tall or short will be ok for height
Easily £100 cheaper than anywhere around .
I would say 5ft5 to 6ft2 and these will feel great without fitting or grip modifications .
Golf is a very expensive game and these make for great starter clubs without spending stupid money .

I bought an older Costco model a few years back (think Callaway make sets specifically for Costco but could be wrong) called Callaway Xtreme. Really good clubs but mine were about £300 for the display set
Good price but to me it needs a 5 iron instead of a 5 Hybrid. I think most adults (perhaps with the exception of seniors) will use a 5 iron over a hybrid and perhaps have a 5 wood or 3 hybrid. Just think having a 5-SW gives the set a lot more longevity if you stick with the game.

£549 on that site, how is that cheaper?

Fair Enough. I think I made a mistake in not comparing like for like. Sorry about that.
Does anybody know what shafts are on these?

Be a bit careful with these.

The X2 Hot driver included in sets can be inferior to the one sold alone which is fully adjustable. Looking at the picture, it looks like the one included is the non-adjustable version.

I'll eat my putter if costco do club fitting
Buy second hand, new golf clubs are a total con - "Indian not the arrow" thing.

Who cares? 99% of golfers don't have anywhere enough consistency to make adjustability worthwhile. The effect they have is limited to a couple hundred RPMs or degrees, here or there.
Heat from me.. Shame the missus won’t let me get it!!!

This.

I have an adjustable rescue club but it doesn't have a "no slice" option. I feel conned!

They all have a no slice option?
Lots of club for the money. Heated

I would recommend checking out second hand clubs though; imho club technology hasn't moved on too much in 10 years so it's not like buying a 10 year old mobile!

I wish! Was a golfing joke!

As A1RN said, the majority of golfers will have no need for the adjustability that manufacturers are trying to push.

Stupid thing is, I hit that rescue beautifully in the shop... Got out on the course and well...

I don't play, I'd love too, and actually been on a few great courses in Scotland and Egypt. The Problem for me, is I loose more balls than I buy, so never make the 18th.

Had a quick peek on another website and shaft options for the irons were solely steel.
As a left hander I find this highly prejudiced...

I disagree with you on that one, Club technology has come on leaps and bounds especially irons and putters.
I currently play with 7 year od Titleist irons, I had a hit with the latest Ping irons so easy to hit and very forgiving with off centre hits. A few of the guys have been fitted to suit thier swing and how tall they are, and thier game has come on so much, I'm thinking of getting fitted myself.

I and the email too, but only yesterday. I've no idea why it wasn't sent out earlier? (Besides less people being able to claim on it).
Anyone recommend a decent brand or set of beginner clubs for a 5ft 10 male? Either 2nd hand of brand new.

Something nice and chunky, regular flex. Avoid custom fit irons (upright, extra inch length).
