Great Deal!
Tesco have 2 for £3.00 on quorn mince and pieces.

Full details of Quorn including the production process on Wikipedia: en.wikipedia.org/wik…orn

Brilliant deal!!! thanks! i'think ill stock up!

Why is the assumption that this is for vegetarians, its low in fat, easy to prepare, quicker to cook, and a more consistent texture than chicken....not saying I never eat actual chicken/mince but I think this is a good alternative.

I'll have to get the missus to stock up on the way home from work!

Funny how a vegetarian deal draws allsorts of stupid comments from people on here and when deals for meat products are posted the vegetarians manage to restrain themselves.

I eat meat of all types and I also eat quorn pieces on regular occasions due to the fact it is health, reasonably tasty on its own, very versatile and cooks extremely quickly. Also you cannot get food poisoning from quorn from undercooking.

The only drawback is its expensive at its usual price.

I'm not vegetarian, but I love Quorn products.

The chicken pieces are not only OK for veggies. I'm a met eater, but love quorn chicken in wraps with salsa sauce....great

Great post! Will be buying some shortly, need to save some pennies after overspending in the sales!!!

Cant see what all the fuss is about with vegetarians ... I'm one myself but I never try to convert my meat eating partner or children, they eat my stuff as well as their own and that's fine with me. Everyone is different and that's what makes the world interesting!
By the way I don't think Quorn actually tastes like any kind of meat i used to eat as a child .... Quorn just tastes nice and fills me up, so no harm done there then!

Voted cold cos down here in S. Wales they're on a 'Buy 2 for £3' offer, & are not £1 a bag.

Many Meatatarians eat Quorn as it is very low in fat and cholesterol, it is great if you are dieting. At the Slimming World class I go to the people who loose lots of weight eat Quorn Mycoprotein

the mince is absolutly disgusting and the chicken doesnt taste like chicken at all it has no consistancy and is dry as anything just eat vegetables instead///

Not a vegetarian myself - but love the stuff. Will check my local tomorrow.

So you vote a deal cold because it is not in your area. :? Plus you still have a pretty decent deal with 2 for £3 anyway!

Voted hot, thanks OP

Going back on track for just a moment....

There's no sign of these being on offer in my local Asda (N.Watford, on A41).

Going back off-topic, I can't believe how many Food Nazi's have come out of the woodwork.
I'm a this. You're a that. You can't be a this, because of that.
Who cares? Whatever works for you.

Live, and let live, says I.

Then kill it, remove the horns, pass it threw a warm room, and serve it up on my plate with cold beer on the side.

Not on offer in Central Southampton ASDA either. Still, a good deal if you can get it.

Hmmm I'm a quorn eating Veggie but don't shop at ASDA :? I'll have to "visit" one just for this

They're giving Quorn cottage pies away for free at the Metro Centre in Gateshead today.

I'm not sure whether any small houses were harmed during the manufacturing process.

Very true. I thought I would try a diet of quorn about 6 days a week & fish/meat on the 7th day at the beginging of last February & I lost 7 stone in 7 months, with the help of quorn. I still eat it now, but have reduced the amount of quorn I eat & eat more fish now. I've not checked, but as someone from South Wales said in a previous post that it's 2 for £3, shame!

Personally I hate the quorn cottage pie! Doesn't taste very nice in my opinion.

Apologies, I was wrong.
I checked the chiller section, and didn't find them.
My colleague found the deal in the frozen section.

Good deal. Thanks.

I have removed a lot of the posts to try to keep this thread on topic.

If you want to have a discussion on meat eating / vegetarianism, please feel free to do so in the misc section - but not in the deals section. Any further off topic posts, not relating to the deal will be removed.

Thank you for the tip. If it is the fresh stuff you can always buy it in and freeze it because it keeps for ages that way. I shall be heading to Adsa to stock up myself tomorrow, may aswell while it is this cheap!

Fantastic! Cheers OP, we recently stocked up on the Tesco 2 for 3 pound (pound sign not working on ubuntu!)

Will make sure we go and stock up at Asda now

Thanks great deal! will all the meat eaters who deeply down feel guilty about eating dead meat stop bashing better people that have the strength to AVOID it.

Thanks for explaining that, I thought all the veggies had gone barmy through lack of meat with this talking about meat eating nazis etc

Anyway.. We bought a load of this last time Asda had it on offer and have still got some left in the freezer. The wife found she has an odd effect with it as deal me in mentioned earlier. Seems good to me though but the fresh 'ham' style stuff is a bit wierd. It seems dry but at the same time full of water. Most odd:thinking:

Nice deal OP

OMG dont believe one sentence "calling all vegetarians" would cause such a stir.

Just that this is a meat free product aimed at vegetarians thats why i out it in the title.

These have a lot of vitamins in them and taste great. However I prefer the taste of gravel and think it has a better consistency.

Hope this helps people to decide.

You don't deserve feeding. Go away.

Quorn is great! Try it if you haven't before.

As an aside, in Bluewater Shopping Centre, there was a stand outside the Marks & Spencers giving away FREE Quorn cottage pie yesterday. By the time I got there, it was all shut down as they probably ran out of it all earlier. So if you're there today, they might be doing it again.
