Just buy generic paracetamol suspension. It's the same stuff. Same goes for nurofen /ibuprofen.
This stuff is a GODSEND...!!
Am I the only parent who has kids who absolutely detest this stuff? They seal their lips, spit it out all over the place etc.

I gave up on this and ended up buying paracetamol capsules and tipping half a capsule in some flavoured milk and making them drink that (on advice from our GP).

Heat for the price btw.

When you say half, how do you measure how much paracetamol powder you add to the milk?

It's actually under a half I think. Haven't needed to do it for a while. A full pill is 500mg, kids aged 5 need 200mg. We actually bought a very sensitive scale just to measure it out! They can still taste it in regular milk so we use half a cup of chocolate milk and stir it in.
I don't see the reason for buying calpol. It only has paracetamol which can be bought as generic medicine at much cheaper price.

Of course you cannot explain this to people who go to Waitrose.
Same price at Aldi. If you don't live near Waitrose.
Asda own which is the same stuff is £1.75

No you're not the only one. The sugar free one many children in my family hate it. Some won't even try the sugar version because they think it's the same (initially they loved it).
I think the stuff with sugar is better than than the sugar free stuff. The sweeteners in this are not great for babies and certainly not adults either

Both types are on offer at the same price.
Dunno if it really makes a diff, but Saw an article where a mum inserts a Calpol filled syringe into milk bottle teat to feed her baby the meds...

Need this always
tried the cheaper stuff, baby just spat it out
