This got me through being a parent when my kids were young, still tasted awful with vodka like.
Hi, I sometimes have to have a little spoon with the kids.

Having 3 kids this stuff is a must in our house, and at this price a BARGAIN!
Fantastic find. Heat added.
If your kids are sick go the doctors and get for free on prescription!

True, but when it's just a cold/cough/fever or they have injections why waste their time?

Most doctors won't prescribe it either!

Also don't like to live at the doctor's as you have more chance of catching something worse than a sniffle

I just buy the £1 equivalent from Poundland - same active ingredients. Just not as pink.
I normally get the cheapest stuff but after a taste test Calpol definantly better tasting!

Some cheap brands often aren't sugar free either!

You don't have to go to the doctors, get the chemist to see the child and they can prescribe paracetamol / nurofen suspension for free. You probably won't get the branded stuff but it does the same job. You don't need an appointment and usually a lot quicker than going to the doctors (for minor ailments).

I don't mind paying at this price and not having to drag my child out?

Also helps save the government cash for bonuses and Christmas parties! ;-)

Great price just bought in asda full price today so have it in over Xmas! Have always just bought calpol never had it on prescription and never been offered it either don't mind tho
Didn't know that a pharmacist could prescribe this! Is that correct?! That could be the money saving tip of the century if true!
Just phoned my local to reserve me 2. Its the sugar free version at this price.
Bought some for myself a few weeks ago. And I'm 30

I can't do tablets you see, and the wife makes me drink this awful tasting sh*t if I'm ill. At least this is nice to drink!
Most doctors dont prescribe these days due to money saving crap!

Mine used to give massive bottles of it out (500ml!!) but have stopped totally due to cost cutting
anyone know if the stregth has changed because they have recently changed the dosage to half of what it used to be?
nice mixer with Gin
Perfect Hangover cure too, the liquid really helps to neutralise everything on the way down!!!

It used to be up to 2 x 5ml spoons every 4hrs but the new bottles are 1 x 5ml instead and they have 'new dosage' printed on the box - I expect this is why they are cheap, but a great price my little one is teething and has a cold and calpol is a godsend!
Anyone know if it is this price in co-op supermarkets? We don't have a co-op pharmacy near me.

Incidentally new guidelines were issued recently which revised the dosing amount or paracetomol and ibuprofen based products for children. Worth knowing if you have lots of old bottles in the cupboard.

Pharmacies have 'minor ailment schemes these days'. They cover many minor problems like **** thrush, toothache, fever, headlice, burns, mouth ulcers. (there are many more.....)

Speak to the pharmacist, tell him your symptoms and if they tally with approved protocol you'll get the item for free (if the patient is exempt).

Im a pharmacy student and I've worked in many pharmacies giving these out over the past few summers.

lol it censored my va gi nal thrush
