You can easily do a little homework on Fragrantica Forums if you're not sure. I'm lucky enough to be able to walk to a few department stores if I so wish, and could inspect the real bottle/packaging and test for myself, but not everyone can.

I'm not going to announce Amazon DON'T sell fakes as I don't believe in black and white statements - but - I've not had a fake from them yet. I've hit a few ebay sellers with disputes and Negs for counterfeits, though.

Calvin Klein fragrances are typically cheaper than, say, Chanel or Dior, and as mentioned, most retailers sell CK for a similar price, so you shouldn't assume cheap = fake.

Check the batch dates here (should be the same on the bottle and box, though some fakes copy codes) checkcosmetic.net/bra…in/

Knock offs often have poor quality print/mis-spellings on the packaging. The bottle may be asymmetrical and the spray cap may be loose. The juice itself could be cloudy or a different colour to what you expect. Sometimes you can even "scratch" the font off the bottle!

The spray tube will be thick, maybe even mis-shapen, it should be almost "invisible". Here's a bendy spray tube on the bottle on the right:33594745-v6MX0.jpgFake CK Be:

Here's another (on reddit) accusing FragranceNet of watering down perfumes/selling fakes, similar to what I've seen Amazon accused of. Some very good points are made here: reddit.com/r/f…om/

Don't forget, the perfume industry quietly reformulates often (as mentioned above on reddit). Small packaging changes happen too (one notable recent one was the removal of the metal surround on the CK Beauty bottle - which had many screaming "fake" on forums till they realised - likely the manufacturer trying to cut costs).

Another tip I saw on Fragrantica - on ebay you often see listings for empty genuine bottles of scent. Why? Because people decant fake juice into them and sell them as genuine, to make ££s. So, look for evidence of tampering if the bottle looks legitimate. (This doesn't really apply to Amazon, but worth knowing about).

PS: Many reviews say Contradiction For Men is CK's take on Kenzo's Jungle.

Would I rather buy from Boots as I would know it wasn't fake for 4 times the price?
Top marks for a good presented deal showing how good a deal it is rather than filler that seems to clutter here nowadays.

but is it Man Man aftershave.

edit: heated nevertheless.

I've bought this twice from Amazon and both times it's not been a fake. It's my daily. Longevity isn't great though

how is it that a couple of idiots buy aftershaves and perfumes of a random …how is it that a couple of idiots buy aftershaves and perfumes of a random seller on amazon and then because all reviews for all sellers or on the same page everyone gets convinced its a fake from amazon. Shame common sense isn't as prevalent on the internet as idiocy and tolling

You pay a toll for using your internet ?

I'm not sure where that comment is coming from - I'm trying to help? Some of it is gleaned from years of reading forums, some images are from other sites (the links are quoted) and years of enjoying scents and having experience with many sellers - dodgy ones included. If it annoys you, click elsewhere

Edit: I have contributed to a few HUKD threads in a similar vein, simply because I care that people are informed and don't get ripped off.

It's not a bargain if it's a dodgy concoction that brings you out in a rash. I can't find any online discussions about Contradiction For Men, but here's a few posts about La Vie Est Belle I made before Xmas, here
