Had a quick look around for a coffee table and this one seems to beat many others at this price from other retailers, not completely full blown solid oak but better than that plastic covered cardboard stuff in my opinion.

Free home delivery. Not available in store.

They have a rubberwood coffee table also for £39 with a matching side table for £19, which I thought was also good, see 2nd post for links.

thanks for the post, i was after a decent coffee table.

Do you have to use coffee on it?

Tempted, anybody know what the quality is like? I know JL is usually good.

Good deal. Still not what I want.

I am after something called sofa tables. These are slim rectangular tables that go alongside sofas, for lamps, mugs etc. Ideal for smaller rooms.

Rarely seen but excellent concept. Just wish more people would realise and manufacture range of them.

Many people just do not have the space, even for coffee table in the middle of the room.

I should get mine on the 19th. Will let you know then if I remember. Yes delivery is that long.

iglimpse - try that table I mentioned in the 2nd post, £19 rubber wood lamp table. May fit well on end of a sofa and is slightly higher than your average coffee table.

A table is a table, regardless of it being coffee/lamp/dining etc theres no table law, as long as it fits in the space you need it for. Cant stand the naming of table types... im sure soon there will a remote control table just for remotes (yeh a radio controlled table would be a bit stupid before anyone says lol).

Yep!

I was looking for something exactly what you described, you would think they would make them as people would buy them!!!!

Thank you. Excellent finds here but I am looking for rectangular shaped tables that go alongsde sofas, not square at the end of the sofa, which requires much more space
