Do the terms and conditions they sent you state that the contract is only for a 6 month subscription?

It's a 12 month contract, with two 6month payments before you can cancel. £30, very misleading offer.

Nice find op, but the company is making it look better than it really is!

I agree, I misinterpretted it. To make it clear,

12 month subs paid in 2x £15, 6 months apart, so £30, plus free Camelbak.

Not so hot a deal as I first thought !

Hot...

Think of it as either getting a 12m mag sub free, or a hydration pack free. Seems like a deal to me!

Interesting. No obvious T&Cs throughout the whole ordering process. My feeling is as it is sold as:

"Runner`s World 6 Monthly Direct Debit + Camelbak Classic" then you can cancel giving 28 days notice.

You could also just cancel your Direct Debit but I have no idea what the consequences of this are (do companies start to send threatening letters due to breach of contract etc)

Agreed, still a good deal just not as good as they'd like you to think. Very sneaky!

Subscription Terms & Conditions

These subscriptions may not include all promotional items packaged with the magazine. Initial 12 month non-refundable contract applies.

I've never had a problem cancelling Runners World subscriptions in the past. I've been waiting for a subscription and gift offer for a while as my last subscription finished a few months ago.

Have heat from me.

If you're after one of these its cheaper by £5 - £10 than most online stores with 12 months worth of free magazines.

This is only a contract with the company therefor holds no finaicle credit reporting if you canceled with them.

Also be careful, the marketing tick boxes try to trick you.
On one set its tick here not to receive
And on another set it's tick here to receive

And they repeat it again on the next page, they try twice to trick you into there marketing
Even though you have done the boxes on the prior page

From point of order how long did it take to arrive ?

Thanks

Jest ordered. I was looking at buying the magazine today and didn't bother due to the cover price but 12 copies for £30 is cheap anyway, the camelbak sealed the deal.

wouldn't use one, the bladder design of camlbaks is flawed, i fell wearing one and was in hospital for three weeks, thanks to the massive solid filler cap in the bladder.

Now have a collection of mecanno in my back as well....

I'm sorry but that sounds like a freak accident rather than a design flaw, yes the filler cap is solid but it is fairly flush with no real single hard piercing point. I've managed over 6000 miles of running including Ultra marathons with mine and no issues

For running maybe but when cycling or anything else the risk is enhanced, it may well be a one off, but 5 vertebrae wer broken by the lid...

Everyone has to make up there own mind once they have the facts...all of them

5 vertebrae, maybe get some stabilisers and stick to water bottles with bottle cages when cycling.

Do you get the bag sent straight away and is it bag and bladder?

Still not had mine so god knows how the op got his straight away.

Me neither.....

First copy of RW arrived today. Has anyone received their Camelbak yet?
