Cracking price for a quality bottle, I bought a couple of these a few months ago and the quality id superb. No leaks no matter what. And the Bite valve is quality.

I know you can get cheaper bottles, but they always tend to leak. So please vote on the price.

A great bottle for the price - got one on my desk at work. Only issue I have is that it whines a little when you suck up the water when the lid is on tightly so you have to keep it loose. Not sure if anyone else has this problem?!

I had this problem, try adjusting the straw so it is pushed in more, then it flows quicker and doesn't whine as much

mine whistles when I drink... dunno why.

Drinking from mine now.

Great deal if you need a reliable waterbottle. Would also add that the deal includes the Tour De France editions with cap closure lid.

Hmm...criteria for water bottle: 1. Durable 2. Doesn't leak. Unfortunately, nice as the Camelbak brand is, this product does not meet my requirements. I had a bite valve break in the first month of use (different camelbak product but quite possibly the same material used).
And yet it is less than a fiver....

Great bottle. Had mine for about 2 years now and it's good as it was when I first bought it.

These are the best water bottles money can buy. I have the glass one which I paid £20 for and have no regrets.

I dont know what this one is like but if you drink a lot of water (like I do) then invest in the glass one and get the glass straw that a company in the US make. All in all mine has cost me around £35 and despite being the tightest bloke I know, you wont catch me moaning about it.

Also worth considering Sistema Water Bottles, e.g. prices from Asda:

460ml: £2.00
620ml: £2.50
700ml: £2.50
800ml: £5.00
direct.asda.com/on/…=10#direct.asda.com/on/…=10

460ml also available as Amazon Add-on item for £2.50
amazon.co.uk/s/r…+ml

The 800ml version in particular is extremely solid premium item and will last for years no issues. Only suggestion is not to use boiling hot water when washing them as that can begin to cease the twist action seal.

I think I can solve the whistling, durability and leakage issues at a price that's right!

£1.94....Get in

keep the bite valve bit clean... I didn't realise I should be cleaning it and noticed it was quite dark one day, took it off and it was all algae inside.. very disgusting if you don't keep it clean. I pop the bottle in the dishwasher and it's fine.

Purchased, ty OP

Just FYI in case the price goes back up, these are at this price in TK Maxx. Appears to be a fair few in a couple of the stores I've visited recently. :-)

In my experience, these replace the whistling with a whining noise.... but it has to be said that they do stop the crying noise. (_;)

Best bottles, good price

I saw these in tk yesterday and are £9.99. Excellent price op

Cheers, ordered 1 blue & 1 red for my boys

Stupid question time... How do I order this if I don't want to spend £20 at Amazon? I've put it in my basket and there doesn't seem to be an option to check out.

£4.75 now and an add-on item.

Do you have any links (website links, I mean) to the products you've mentioned?

Cracking bottles. The bite valve is excellent. And most of all you don't get the plastic taste with your drink like you do with most bottles. If you're looking for a bottle cage to match, it fits perfect in the Ibera carbon bottle cage also available on amazon.

Why not just get one of the following for around 70p;

No leaks, squashes down when you don't need it, and none of that plastic taste either.

I'll look them up for you mate. If I forget, PM me to remind me.

I'm looking for the 1L version but they seem to be a bit pricey on Amazon

I have the same problem with my missus

Can someone link to the £4.67 price? The only ones I can find for that price are the 'Discovery' bottles, not the original ones (I have Prime and the clear 0.6L bottle is showing as £6.02)?

Have a camelbak bottle for running; was pretty impressed by the 'TruTaste'.

The problem with other bottles are that they take on the taste & smell of what was previously in them, Camelbak needs a slight rinse and it's good as new.

Great price!

no Thanks

That's what I do. Just wash it a couple of times a week with the dishes to keep it fresh.

Yep, I've never understood the point of purpose built water bottles. They are heavier, uncompressible, less hygienic (by virtue of not replacing them as often), and often have a plastic taste too. Just a waste of money IMO

I do the same thing when cycle touring. 3x squash bottles - replaced whenever the opportunity arises...oh, and another couple of 2 litre bottles lashed to my pannier so I can have a 4 litre 'shower' each night.

Mine is a glass one so no plasticky taste. Also, although initally a large outlay they pay for them selves eventually as you can top them up with tap water or water cooler at work. They are more ecologially froendly as they get reused unlike the hundreds of thousands ofplastic bottles that get thrown away/littered/recycled every year.
