Any reviews on Camera World? Any good?

I've purchased a Fuji XT-10 from them, I had a slight problem with the courier but this was not their fault, their customer service was very good and they were very helpful in sorting this out.

I try to avoid John Lewis as had a bad experience with them.

This is a great price for the camera with the VR lens, most this price don't include VR. I'd rather buy through Jessops or Currys though because ive heard of them. Any experience with this company? Would John Lewis price match??

I was obviously talking here about MKii for both.even though very similar, i still think the 10 series have their place. But of course that's just my point of view. I believe Olympus do double cashback from time to time. Doesn't seem to be the case at the moment. So yes it is possible to get them cheaper. It also depends what retailer you buy from. The online shop ones always tend to sell cheaper.

@brilly - but talking about 1 inch sensors in digital era is misleading.

its almost meaningless as other formats dont specify a size so it has no basis for comparison
any emphasis you put on the 1 inch is from your own mind

zzzz21st Nov

"You get four times better light capture with a back-illuminated sensor" - …"You get four times better light capture with a back-illuminated sensor" - first I've heard of this. Ken Rockwell says . . There is no such thing as a 1" digital camera image sensor, but many makers lie about it to get us to think that these cameras have larger sensors than they actually do. What are marketed as "1 inch sensors" are actually only about 9 x 12 millimeters on a good day, or about 0.35 x 0.47" — nowhere near one inch. These little sensors have only about one-quarter the area of a typical crop-frame DSLR (16x24mm)http://www.kenrockwell.com/tech/one-inch-sensor.htm

lol at quoting ken rockwell blindly
it has a historical basis and everything is relative, just picking one is misleading

You can get great images from any of those cameras. Tz100 is the only truely pocketable, and so may get used more on days out.

The obvious issue I have is the cost of the glass as I bought both the Tamron's 17-50 VC f2.8 and my Sigma 70-200 f2.8 used for about £550. I'm pretty happy with my setup but when I'm travelling, having a smaller, lighter one would be preferable. (I only take the Tamron and a cheap Canon 55-250 IS with me as the sigma is way too big!)

I recently picked up a A6300 and Sigma MC-11 EF to E Mount adapter (non Sigma A, C, S lenses only work with single shot and continuous focus on the A6300, no Sony Eye AF or Tracking), but the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 works great, unsure about the Tamron or function with the A6000 but there are plenty of reviews on YouTube etc.

Coming from a Canon 7D the A6300 seems a lot sharper and faster to focus, I believe this A6000 is still pretty good and would probably be a upgrade whilst being more portable, worth checking out for sure!

haha! I've had so many refurbs with very hard to spot problems, you need a few days to mess around with it... The old Sony Outlet (and Canon eBay Outlet) used to give you a month and free returns. I wouldn't risk this tbh, Fuji are similarly tight with their returns. I probably ended up returning 50%+ of the gear I bought due to none-obvious issues.

You'd probably be okay with Paypal but life is just too short for messing about putting claims in and waiting for refunds.

... And, I really don't need any more cameras :P
