Sorry to be dim, are the 4x batteries rechargable? And can you recharge the batteries in this via USB or do you need a seperate charger?

You can charge via USB itself,, also from Mains Charger

Seems a crackin deal.. perfect for backup power for my GPS on my Motorola Defy when out biking and walking

Doesn't look that way from reviews. People saying it won't charge their ipod, HTC or PSP. Also saying the output is 4000mAh means little without stating the voltage it's at. Four 1000mAh AAAs will give 4000mAh at 1.2 volts or 1000mAh at 4.8 volts depending if they're in parallel or series.
