Not sure if it's nationwide, but an absolute steal at 7 quid for anybody interested in camping!

Yes nationwide. Includes the twin and the single. Very little stock anywhere.

Handy for the winter power cuts.

Not on line as far as I can see.

Caming Gaz is butane, as opposed to Calor gas which is propane. Both are adequate for pretend camping, but for real camping you can't do better than an Optimus petrol stove or similar.

I think you'll find Calor gas comes in both butane (blue bottles) and propane (orange bottles). Nothing wrong with either - we've been 'pretending' to camp for many years and have used both. Strangely never had the need (or desire) to take a petrol stove with me, or indeed diss the most widely used types of gas in the camping market today

I would of thought for real camping you would build your own fire. For everyone else this seems like a good deal.

oh spock youve upset the nations campers, they will hunt you down, granted very slowly due to restrictions

Just to clarify, real camping means you can fit all your gear into a rucksack and carry it around with you. Pretend camping is when you cant. Unfortunately pretend camping has driven real camping almost to extinction, hence the popularity of bulky but relatively inefficient gas stoves.

Or load onto your bike, seeing as how cycle camping was what kick-started the whole camping movement.

MMmm does that mean me and the misses and our 5 children pulling a trailer with our tent and all our camping equipment in our SUV isn't camping ????? ****......we brought wardrobes, oven ,Hobs inflatable beds. quilts, Tv , radio, beer fringed, wine fridge and everthing. This hurts, I did it in the summer and my knee went! Was carrying too much, and a little too ambitious. Made it 87 miles on the first day, was 8 miles short of my destination. The following day I couldn't walk, made packing the tent down interesting!

Still, the idea of being prepared for anything with what you carry is an interesting one. Every Kg really counts!

heh at the camping snobbery

Glamping nowadays. One last trip to Robin hoods bay next june then my T Tents off on ebay.Only used it once last year :>(

HOT - what a bargain, just picked up the last one in my local Tescos! Still showing at full price on the shelf but scanned at £7. These are going at anything upto £40 on a certain auction site... Many thanks OP.

for me, you mean regular thanks to the useless southern electric

now we are cooking with gaz - this is hot!

Wont be at my local Tesco.

Plenty stock in Shrewsbury, probably because they are still marked up at £30, but they are scanning at £7 (the guy in electricals looked a bit shocked when he checked the price for me). These come with a rubber hose and a regulator, so it looks like they don't take the handy little slot in gas bottles that Tesco also sell.

Mine didnt have a regulator, just a hose. I was shocked at the price of the Gaz bottle at about £35. I'm sure that any other gas bottle with regulator will work though.

anyone know the cheapest place for bottles?
