Perhaps not the right time to post this and maybe why it is such a good price.
We have used ours quite a lot and the gas cannisters seem to last a fair time. Very easy to clean so we would definitely recommend.

Nice, these are a great piece of kit - a real multi-use camp cooking solution. Basically the same as a Cadac Safari Chef, but considerably cheaper.

Worth noting that the 400R (OP is the 400CV) is slightly cheaper, and imho is a better option if you think you'll use it a lot. The R can run from any gas bottle (as long as you have the appropriate regulator). The CV is restricted to to the relatively expensive Campingaz proprietary CV cartridges (though it is a neater solution).

Agree with Bazpoint completely. I've got the 400CV version, which is excellent, but you then need to use proprietary gas canisters (which tbf are very good can be easily disconnected for reuse, and do last twice as long as equivalent sized canisters from other makes). But for flexibility in using other makes of gas canister, the 400R is a better bet. (edited)

    Can you do pizzas?

Yes (shows in video below 52 seconds) but you might get better result if you place a pizza stone on it

Cadac Safari Chef is far better quality in my opinion - I personally would pay a little extra.
The HP version is available for £79 in a few places at the moment

Was looking at a separate bigger one for the garden. The ones that can take the bigger gas cylinders.

Decent price for the 600 here. £129

It is pretty big for a portable BBQ. The cooking diameter is about 50 centimetres but it would probably work well as a garden BBQ. I bought one over the 400 because of the full length legs but soon came to realise the cooking surface was too big for my needs. It also comes in a compact version without lid. Its cheaper but peobably worthwhile going for the lidded version. (edited)

If you enjoy the outside lifestyle then this will be a great buy. We have made 3 legs out of 22mm plastic pipe so we cook at waist height. Great to cook egg & bacon in the morning to a barbecue or stir fry at night.

Fantastic idea! I’ll have to do the same. Is it quite sturdy?

Had one of these for a couple of years and it's a great piece of kit. Very portable and well worth the money. Heat
