You could still get your feet in it though.

What bizarre marketing BS is this? It's advertised as 24l capacity but can only fit in 2x 1.5l bottles? Is the new megabytes vs mebibytes?
good price for those without a time machine

Have this one, and what it means is that it will allow 2 x 1.5l "pop" bottles to stand up next to each other - there is plenty of space left for others cans, sausage rolls, etc! For the current price it's probably the best (not the biggest though!) chiller around, especially as is reasonably quiet (in use) too
Now reduced to £27.47. Job's a good 'un!

Probably because you would need to put a suitably rated fuse in-line with it and also fit some sort of suitable connector to connect it to the battery terminals. Might also have something to do with draining the battery too much (which can damage it) if it doesn't have a low voltage cut-off. You'll probably void the warranty as well by cutting off the plug (which might contain the fuse).

These look (and probably are) identical to the ones that Lidl had some time ago and they're perfect; used them for 2 2000 mile round road trips and they kept everything nice and cool. Obviously it's far better to put stuff in straight from the fridge.
