This is my first post so here's hoping I don't mess this up.

I've been after a pair of walking poles for some time but they all seem quite expensive. These, however, seem a great deal and as Sports Direct offers free delivery until midnight tonight they're even better. A must for any mountain/hill walkers (with bad knees or ankles).

I've just noticed, you can also buy these from Sports Direct via the Amazon site for the exact same price.

Good price but a shame they don't say what size they are. These days walking poles are classed as lethal weapons on plane, so they need to fit in your checked luggage.

I would say that based on the size of the picture and the size of the handgrip, the picture is between 1/4 and 1/5 size. Taking the worst of those, I reckon that it would be about 70cm which would easily fit a case. You can see from the picture that it is telescopic and has 2 sections where it extends.

These are really good. Many thanks, part of one Christmas present solved. They are telescopic and would certainly fit in a suitcase.

They also arrived with a free gift of an enormous Sports Direct mug!

Excellent post as far as I'm concerned.

arrived with free huge sports direct bag
excellent quality - aluminium and extremely adjustable from really small to suitable for taller than meand i'm 6'4"
had orginal price of 19.99 but take that with a pinch of salt , well worth £6
