I think your going to need that parka in here, I believe its going to get very cold..........

I know these are expensive jackets, that are normally £500 and over.

People vote cold as they can't compare your deal, as you don't have a picture of the jacket or a serial, or even a model name as Canada Goose have various styles of parkas at various prices. If you had a picture of the parker and a link, to the same one somewhere else, they could compare then you might get some heat, as it is a DEAL.
What model is it?

Selkirk parka £650+ everywhere else
Great jacket to have in the boot just in case the sat nav plays up and sends you via the north pole on your glasgow - edinburgh daily commute along the M8
Good price for it,but totally overkill for uk unless you live at the top of the Cairngorms.
Would never buy this brand uses real fur

What does that even mean.

The warmer your jacket the less layers you can get away with when it's cold, which is great especially when going to work and don't want layers. The survival rating of down coats/sleeping bags etc shows the comfort zone at certain extreme ranges, with an average body type (whatever that nonsense means).

The fact remains, the warmer your jacket, the warmer you'll be and guess what, there's a big long zip down the front, which means the coat will be as warm or as cold as you like.

People on expeditions do not in the vast majority of cases choose Canada Goose. There are far lighter jackets that are better suited. Canada Goose is a city wear jacket now. Who would actually buy CG for going on an expedition or the Cairngorms? You'd have to be clueless. You'd buy RAB, ME, Arc'teryx etc for that.

The ratings for temperature is for numpties who buy into the marketing and have never heard of layers.

Yep this is my main hangup with this brand. I wish they'd drop the fur form their coats.

Then again, they make down coats, so even if they drop the fur, they'd still not exactly be animal friendly.

We are stuck with down for the time being though, artificial fill just hasn't caught up with it yet. We will get there, just not yet.
Also a few on tk maxx on line. Not the versions with fur tho.
Do they have any women's by the way?
