I would reccomend Propane burns Hotter

That is real cheap!

Indeed, but what regulator does it come with?

IIRC, cheapy bbqs come with a butane regulator.

I bought one of these a few days ago, just waiting for it to be delivered to store at the mo - supposedly, it should be there tomorrow.
The description says "uses propane and butane" so I have no idea which it uses, surely you're not given a choice? I'd guess it uses butane (the red one) as this is more common for BBQ's.

LOL - i'm glad i'm not coming to your BBQ - Rustlers anyone.... :whistling::thumbsup:

does this have the fake 'coals' on it? I had a gas one before but found it pretty useless as it doesnt hold any heat. Bit confused whether you can just add the coals to any gas bbq or you have to have one that comes with it? Can anyone help?

i saw this one instore they had plenty in but none built up to have a look at, the box was pretty small, and it didnt look like it could fit lava rocks on it, the grill was very close to the burner from the look on the picture.

I was considering this one myself, but i think i am gonna go with the argos one, i saw that too today and they had one built and it was reasonable in size for the price and had rocks on it, although i am not sure if they come as part of the package, i would assume they do.

what argos one??

Butane is the BLUE calorgas/flogas/shellgas bottle - propane is the RED one. Just use the right regulator as they operate at different pressures. Many barbecues will work on either, but they tend to be supplied with one regulator or the other not both (some of the cheaper ones don't come with a regulator so you'll have to get one).
Butane is cheaper, works at lower pressure but struggles to vapourise in cold weather. So if you intend doing a couple of breakfast sausages on it in December you are going to need propane.

The £39 one

Looked better in the flesh than the website pic, not sure about the performance and the one in store had argos printed on the front of it which i was not fussed on, but if it does the job and its cheap, then ill be happy.

The Argos one has actually gone up in price from £36-66p it even says so at the bottom.

Have a look in Aldi, they had 3kg boxes of lava rock instore for £2.99 recently:thumbsup:

i also saw lava rock in morrissons for 3.99

Its finding a bbq that allows for it, some dont seem to have a tray underneath, just burners and big gaps, or some have the grill so close you couldnt fit them in.
This whole finding a bbq saga has become a pain in the bump, charchol vs gas.....thought id try gas for a change....gas with or without lava rock ...how many burners....what size.....what gas.

By the time i get one summer will be over!!!

Picked mine up yesterday from my local store, going to try putting it together soon!
