I've been looking for a decent Heat Pump tumble dryer and this one looks pretty good. Use code TD-PMXF and get it for just over 300 quid. This makes it probably the cheapest 9kg A++ Heat Pump tumble dryer on the market.

Product details:

Candy Tumble dryers are designed with style and practically in mind.

The GVS H9A2DCE 9kg capacity Heat Pump condenser tumble dryer is perfect for medium-large sized family.
Heat Pump technology provides great energy efficiency as well as excellent drying performance and has an A++ energy rating. The heat pump tumble dryer uses hot air to absorb moisture from your clothes in order to get them dry after a wash. After this air passes through the drum, it goes through the evaporator which removes the moisture, which is collected as condensation and stored into a tank.

Comprising clever Sensor Dry technology, it allows you to set the level of dryness you require. The dryer then switches off automatically when this level of dryness has been reached. It protects your clothes from over drying as well as saving electricity by not drying for longer than is needed.

The GVS C9DCG Tumble Dryer features One Touch technology which offers a clever solution that works as simply as a contactless payment system. By using an android smartphone, you can control, monitor and manage the appliance via your mobile device through the Candy Simply-Fi app.

The Candy GVS C9DCG Tumble Dryer features the exclusive ˜EasyCase' in-door reservoir. EasyCase is a unique, patented water reservoir built right into the tumble dryer's door. The ergonomically designed EasyCase makes it easy to see when the water needs emptying and has a convenient handle making it easy to remove. The collected purified water can be re-used around the house for jobs such as mopping floors, water plants or used in the steam iron. (Not suitable for drinking)

Found out why it's probably been sent back to them lol!

Amazon review:
1, It take ages to dry 3-4 hrs, with a small load, on its highest heat setting, even then your clothes will have damp patches on them, and not even smell dry!
2, The filter clean light comes on every time its turned its used even when clean!
3, The door can be opened, when the machine is running and it continues to run!
4, Your clothes get caught in the gap around the door, so the drum goes round, creating a massive knot of clothes so you have to continually monitor it, untangle your clothes , put it on again, 5 minutes later, clothes in a ball!!!

Thanks... I'm just reading reviews and they are quite mixed so not too sure
We would like a new tumble dryer, heat pump looks appealing but the more I read about them the more I'm put off, we are in a fortunate position where we could have any type, vented, condensed, or heat pump? But difficult to decide, we have 4 children so it's important we choose the right technology.

Not the biggest tub, but definitely a good deal. Thanks OP

Ummmm, wow.. £360 elsewhere at £180ish on Tesco with the code.
I was looking through the 20% off page and it wasn't on there, and I searched heat pump tumble dryer and it didn't come up either.
I just checked the Indesit out on their own site and it's a 8kg A+ rated heat pump tumble dryer with sensor.

Pay a bit more and buy something decent from Samsung,LG,Bosch or Miele.

9kg heat pump from those brands:

Samsung - £499
LG - £599
Bosch - £599
Miele - £1,010

The Samsung is closer in price but still £200 higher than this £300 machine. If you have the money to spare then why not I suppose, but there again you'll probably be buying everything high end in your house because you can make the argument about not buying a cheap: car, TV, laptop, phone, dishwasher, bathroom suite, etc etc.

Well Miele yes but Samsung and LG I wouldn't call them high end (specially price wise), they are just good technology and good quality for the money unlike these buttom of the barrel brands.
IMO most people who aim for 9KG can get away with 7KG,or they can wait a little for an offer or price drop to show up if they can'y afford the price difference right away.
The quality/technonoly/reliability difference is significant, and definitely worth spending some more.it's a bulky, heavy washing machine and repair process is painful and difficult.
I repair white good appliances and I can tell you heat pump tumble dryers are waste of time. There selling point is they save energy but it takes hours to dry. This is.from brands such as AEG. So high end brands. Just stick to the the conventional dryers

I don't know about other brands but our new Bosch heat pump model is just as quick or quicker than our old condenser dryer. Mind you its one of the top two Which? Rated dryers, both Bosch models.

So what would you recommend in this price range?
they may take a bit longer than vented, my Grundig does a full load in couple of hours.

does it matter NO, it is not like you sit there watching it, the load and unload times are the same

just needs a bit of planning most wash and dry machines have delay timers

If I have a day at home I can do 4/5 loads wash(long eco washes) and dry probably 1/2 hour total load/unloads.
guys, bought this machine when it was on sale in april (20% voucher) for £295.20. so far we've had good experience although still need to test it during winters. regarding 4-5 hrs of drying time that is the heat pump technology. we've been getting dry clothes in 2 hrs but we never fill it with 9 kg load. 5-6kg max at any time. i believe this is value for money
I hear that I hear White Knight dryers are good, can anyone comment?

It won't last long you have to constantly keep the condenser clear and filters clear. I mean the filters in the door have to always be clear. Sorry to sound like a downer just something I've been seeing around with these dryers. It may not be all of them

I heard the same but mine (which was only used occasionally) failed after 3 years with a wierd intermittent fault.

We used one of their gas fired dryer. It was excellent, quick drying no humidity problem due to vent and costs were at least 1/3rd of electric dryers
