My grapes had candy floss on them recently until I realised they were actually mould 🤢

Haha Canadian but yeah damnit! Problem is I've lived in Australia too where they call it fairy floss, so I just can't keep straight which is which
I randomly stumbled across these in a sainsbury's or something once, and my god they are amazing! They genuinely taste subtly of cotton candy, but that's just their natural flavour (after a bit of selective breeding, of course).

This is unnatural!
Do they actually taste like candy floss though? :/
Relax, is the variety of the grapes, usually come from northern African countries
What is this madness!?
Are they just sweeter than your average green grape? Has anyone tried them?
Love them! I do think these taste like candy floss. So glad they are back.
Never seen or heard of

I don’t know about these ones but ASDA have been doing them seasonally for the last few years and they are very nice and sweet and do taste a bit like candy floss.

This confuses my little brain, a healthy food that tastes deliciously sweet and unhealthy!
Not my cup of tea, prefer normal ones tbh
I've tried the ones from M&S ,they're tasty, I'll try these and compare.

Skinflints should note these come in 400g cartons, so 20% smaller than the Aldi norm. They're also in Lidl at £1.95.

They've actually been in Lidl for years before M&S had them. (then charge double!)

yes i just saw them, hardly any inside the packs i saw, skimpy portions lol. i passed...
How do you get candy floss grapes?
Just good old-fashioned plant breeding. Cain and his team at International Fruit Genetics in Bakersfield, Calif., made the Cotton Candy grape by hybridizing two different grape species. So the designer fruit is actually a hybrid — like pluots, peacharines and cherums.

Not remotely. Tried them last year (they're very seasonal) and was distinctly unimpressed by the lack of flavour. Just a gimmicky way of selling an unexceptional grape. Sweet, but tasteless.
Have you tried the toffee apple carrots?
Had these from Waitrose. Feels like they're bad for you as they tatse of sweets!
