I wouldn't bother at any price. Bought one for my kids last year and it was rubbish. It only picks up sweets of a certain size/weight even then it was completely random whether it would or not. The chain kept getting snagged and we binned it soon after.

I wonder if thats the point of it. Random rewards.
The ones at the arcades are rigged the same way.

The chain snagging isnt good!
Can I pull fruit in here instead

I agree with this, I bought one for my kids and had to return it. The chain snagged and we couldn't get it to pick up anything.
I got one for my kids last year and I agree the quality is pretty poor, but my kids loved playing with it. And although they don't play with it a great deal, they do still enjoy using it now and then so it's definitely not the biggest waste of plastic tat I have bought. Seems to work ok with sweets like Skittles.

Erm no they aren't. Arcade ones are "rigged" to release before moving on the x/y axis until enough money has been deposited into the hopper in which case it grabs and doesn't release until a prize has been won then repeats the process. So a minimum amount of money is taken before each prize is given.

You actually thought Teddy grabbers were random?

Does the hmrc operate on this principle?

I meant "in some way" but nice to see hukd policing in full force
Absolutely worthless. The kind of quality you would get from Wish.

We got one for our grandson, he maybe got 3 hours worth of play out of it before the claw no longer moved or did anything.

It's just more plastic garbage for the landfill.

Interesting to see the feedback. I bought one that looks very similar to this for my 8 year old in January for her birthday and it's still going strong. We initially used sweets and stuff but now it has little squishies and all sort it in. Still regularly played with though. Music is infuriating!
We've had this for the last 2 years and it gets brought out frequently by my 10 year old lad. Works pretty well from our experience. It's not supposed to be easy either... That's the whole point.
