Are these candy machines any good?
Parts guarantee is laughable when you'll have to pay £130+ to call them out, These aren't any better than Hotpoint/Indeshit crap.

You'll be forever calling them out, I had an Hoover, Same company, The main board went within a year, The pump then failed just after guaranty ran out.

It will be in landfill in no time.

My Hoover washing machine has been good for 7 years.

Don't let one mans horror put you off, people are more quick to criticise than praise.
Laughably poor quality. Shockingly poor service.

Washing machines are built to a price point the budget range is priced at under £300 and are twice as unreliable as those over £300 (this statistic oddly enough includes machines with a higher RRP but are "sale" items of under £300.

So it pays to pay more than £300 for a washing machine. Although

Rubbish.

I have a "crappy Beko" which was bought new for £259 4 or 5 years ago.

Not had a single fault.

If you peruse the link you will see that Beko is actually shown as a best buy for £240. It doesn't negate my comment - most people will receive a good long service from their purchase.

In terms of fire risk The consumer review company Which? has specifically identified Hoover and Candy washing machines and Hotpoint dishwashers and tumble dryers as particular items to take care with. That's what you get with cheaply made poor quality products

I purchase a washer dryer candy brand from tesco £330 in black also in white tesco.com/dir…294
This has previously been on offer for £249. I had a voucher so got it for £200

Lots of Washing machines above £300 are virtually the same internally.

Price isn't everything.

Beko are a much better option and most will outlive Hoover/Candy, Hotpoint/Indeshit.

I'm not the only one, Plenty of others have had the misfortune of poor quality Hoover/Candy machines going faulty.

You're very lucky if you've had no problems with yours. Sadly quality went out the window when they started to use low quality components and shifted production to foreign lands for cheap labour.
Candy Smart A+++ sounds like something The Rock used to say in WWE

No. Very poor quality. Candy and Hoover same components. 5 years parts warranty no worth it. Labour charges are £130 for callout
If you have the money. Go for a miele. They give a 10 years warranty including parts and labour. You get what you pay for
I put a couple of cheap Hoover machines in rental properties with young families expecting them to be worked hard and not last long, which was fine for the price I paid. 5 years later both are still going strong and not one issue. I think you hear more about people who have had bad experiences as they tent to vent - well I know I do. I've just taken the plunge with the Argos Bush one at £130. If I get 3/4 years out it I will be happy at that money.
Hilarious at some of the comments on here... just had a indesit washing machine cost me £200 and its only just broke after 10 years...

People will always complain yet never praise... sad really... I loved my washing machine
