Crazy deal!! This was £699 only a couple of months ago - when i bought it.. gutted..

Cannondale CAAD8 7 Sora 2013 Compact Road Bike. Cannondale Aluminium crafting and CAAD10 DNA in a class of its own. With someone’s all-important first road bike purchase, it’s the details that determine whether it gets ridden regularly or hung in the garage. With its lightest-in-class frame, more forgiving Heads-Up Race geometry, CAAD10-derived tubeshapes and unmistakable Cannondale ride-feel, the CAAD8 is designed to turn people into cyclists. The CAAD8 shares the proven race geometry of its more expensive brethren but with a slightly taller head tube (+1.5 mm) for a more relaxed riding position. Optimized chain stay and seat stay shaping provides lateral rigidity while providing vertical compliance for bump absorption and comfort with no loss in power transfer. A true smooth weld, rather than the sand, putty, and paint smooth welds found on other bikes, Cannondale’s trademark double-pass smooth weld technology eliminates the stress-risers and weak points found on traditionally welded frames, enabling us to build lighter, stronger frames.

The CAAD8 7 Sora features the CAAD8, Optimized 6061 Alloy SAVE frame, Cannondale Ultra fork with carbon blades, Shimano Sora front and rear derailleur and shifters as well as Maddux RS 3.0 rims, finished off with Schwalbe Lugano 700×23c tyres.

How'd you get it to £495.83? Is there a code? That's an awesome deal!

My friend bought this recently, and it's not a bad ride. Definitely a decent enough bike for someone looking to commute and do the occasional weekend ride.

It's worth noting that his doesn't have the horrible thumb shifters either!

Hot.

Actually shows as £595 on the site, still a saving but not quite as good as posted.

its £495.83??

Can't go wrong if this is all you can afford to spend ... great spec for the cash.

As with all bikes ... the more you spend the better the bike, but it would be hard to find anything comparable to this for the £££

Suggest you change the title to £595 or you will get voted cold for being inaccurate - still a reasonable spec for that price.

Still not a bad price for this bike. I ride it 15 miles everyday to work and its cut at least 20 minutes in total from my sluggish old mountain bike journey!

just looked at the rest of the site, looks like they are having a general sale to make room for the new models. some really good prices on some really good bikes.

If you'd like a more relaxed ride, I'd recommend a Synapse.

Available from Pauls Cycles for a little cheaper than this.

I have a 2010 caad 8 sora. awesome, awesome bike. I can get 45 mph plus on mine (downhill!). much recommended upgrade is fulcrum 5 wheels or campag ventos. it turns a great bike into an awesome ride. BUY IT NOW!

Okay, I need help, I'm a complete beginner and I've seen different Brands on HDUK like Scott, Connondale, Giant etc, I just can't make up my mind.....

Personally I think Cannondale are a great make, and this would be an amazing first bike! Also worth considering is the Felt F95 from Wiggle, that's a bit cheaper, depends what your budget is really.

Funnily enough, my brother in law has a Felt F95, also a cracking bike. He put Fulcrum Racing 5s on that and it flies. Similar quality to the Cannondale.

This or a Trek 1.2 (13) for £560?
