Good deals, but be careful with choosing a leftie fork add I've heard they are expensive and hard to maintain. That said at some point there was a revision that no longer required a £1000 tool to extract the innards. Perhaps someone could help clarify?

Good advice I'm sure but I'd hope anyone buying a £3k rrp bike would be prepared for some expense......

If the tool did cost £1k why not just buy another fork or even bike?
Qwerty cycles, Revel, etc can sort you out.

I'm not up to date with mountain bikes these days, whats with the lack of stems on these? is that normal now?

OR just buy a bike in the first place with user serviceable parts?!

Some good deals there. Tempted to upgrade from my old Carrera.

Awesome discounts but can't justify any more bikes in the house!

HOT

Was going to get the Sl1 but fancy the cube slc but not sure what to go for?

I need a job.

Anything for £50?

Some gorgeous bikes at amazing prices! Stupid lack of money! HEAT!!!!

Whats the benefit of this one fork thing? oO

makes the bikes look crap to me

Wow, amazed we haven't heard anything from the 'my bike cost £25 from Sports Direct' clowns. Please let this be one thread that they miss.

It's a 'because we could' product. Takes far longer to remove the wheel than a normal fork (even bolt through). And as others have said, hard/expensive to service.

never seen a lefty fork before, I really like it.

I've bought from Pauls and cannot recommend them highly enough

Forget the mountain bike stuff.. theres also deals on the road and cyclo cross models, including £2k off the top of the range supersix... gets hot from me for that...

Heat added
Now I just need to convince "her indoors" that i need a lefty haha

I bought a bike for £5 from the dump 15 gears good condition bargain !!

Stiffer, lighter, dont need to remove wheel to fix puncture, change tyre, tube etc. Fewer seals, etc. Good on them for trying something different.

The benifit of the single fork is that it is supposed to be stiffer. Also apparenly it doesnt require so much maintenance apparently they usedvto be hard to get parts for but thats no longer the case as the use fox parts. That was what the cannondale rep said at a demo day. I thought i hate it but it actually liked it. Still rather get a trek but they arent half price on pauls.

I did John O'Groats to Lands End on a scrap yard beater bike (£5 too!)!
It had old style brakes that forced me to 'sight' my breaking point....preferably 100metres in advance!. Oh, and it also had gear levers on the frame.
Damn that was a dangerous ride! Successful though

If it was a good bike nobody would place it there but ...one person's trash could be another ones treasure so as long as you don't compare it with any half decent bike it's fine.Hope you don't expect me to believe that the 3 x 5 gear set works flawlessly

A bike costing £2000 won't be 20 x better to ride than the one costing £100 but try riding the £100 bike for a while and you will soon wish you had spent a bit more.

what is the aftersales service like with paulcycles, if im going to pay that sort of cash through mail order will they want to help me say if the bike develops a manufacturing fault couple months on?

anyone had experience, theyve been around years and had good deals in mbuk back in early nineties but not much said of them on the net.

Do you have to pay to get stuff from the dump these days? Sheesh, times are hard.

Yeah, because spending a few quid on decent brakes is just a waste. They might only prevent a fatal accident. Might as well get another round of real ales in ey?

JESUS!
