They are doing 10% off Canon L lenses until Monday and have good prices in the first place. But this lens is now my go to lens as it's so sharp (although not always useful as so telephoto, but that's ok as I most often need that!)

So it's normally £1789 (which seems to be the going price now but I do know this was £1999 not that long ago), you get 10% off on the site so £1610.10. Take off that Canon are offering £215 cashback then you end up with this lens for £1395.10 - lowest on camelcamelcamel but also it's definitely UK stock as opposed to grey imports.

Apart from being a good lens for genuine professionaks at televised …Apart from being a good lens for genuine professionaks at televised sporting events.......It's also a great indicator for the owner being a pretentious turd that happens to fancy themselves as a photographer.

Took this lens to Tanzania in 2010. Fantastic for safari wildlife you can’t get too close to.
Admittedly I bought it second hand for the trip and sold it when I got home (at a profit).
But an excellent lens for wildlife. Nothing to do with being pretentious. I presume you only use your phone camera and think the photos are decent quality?

Ordered! Thanks for sharing.🔥

Jessops doing the same offer, don’t forget Quidco cashback

This was £1574 a few weeks ago on Amazon less the £215 Canon Cashback making it £1359. I think most folk looking for this lens will have bought it then.

Not all.

I have the MK1 version of this lens, great for amateur's as well as professionals.

Probably good for bird watching, I mean the feathered kind

£1410 at Panamoz if you don't mind a grey import, never had an issue with them.

forgot to say Park Cameras are also offering a free SD card for the weekend any order over £300. It's a decent card - Sandisk 32GB Extreme Pro - they say it's worth about £30 but nearer £20 really. Still for free it's great and not something that Jessops/ Amazon are offering. Admittedly like you say it's not quite down to the price last month but not much difference and with the pound not looking much like it's going to get much stronger, you never know how much this is likely to go up in the future. Hopefully will come down of course! Although only so I can buy other lenses! Annoying when you see something you bought go down though isn't it!

Don't forget there is a Canon three year extended warranty on this lens. and it's FREE!

Canon three year warranty

Too big, too heavy .
