Also includes 2yrs warranty. I know this is a pricey piece of kit but due to the recent price increases on canon equipment these are currently £379 @ warehouseexpress, £400 @ amazon and £450 in jacobs and jessops. I've used camerabox in the past and found them fast and reliable so hopefully this might be of use to someone.

"Following on from the Canon 580EX, the Speedlite 580EX II flash has new features that are designed to improve results with the latest digital EOS cameras. Retaining the guide number of 58, this flash comes with a sturdy, dust and waterproof case and electronic circuit improvement technology to speed up its refresh time by approximately 20%. The Speedlite 580EX II is a fundamental part of any Canon EOS flash system, destined for use on digital or traditional cameras and by both professionals and beginners."

Bit pricey tbh.
Not voting either way.

Hmm, managed to get mine ofr £289 from ]microglobe.co.uk - might me worth keeping an eye out for the next bargain lot they have.

Voted hot as still the best bit of kit around - unless you want 2nd best that is....

No denying this is an expensive piece of kit, and the price is hardly gonna set the hotukdeals world alight just that this appears to be the best price for it at the moment, especially when you get the added benefit of a 2yr warranty.

I think its a good price considering it includes 2 yrs warranty ... I got mine from here - 123fstop.com/sho…w/2 but it included a years warranty ... Have some heat from me ...

Unfortunetly that site does not include - One Stop Digital, which I have found in majority of cases to be cheaper on lenses and flashes.
Also this flash is only £292.94 on there, so saving £40 AND last time I used the site you could collect point type things, and if you paid by bank transfer you get a further discount (although that was about 6 months ago - may have changed)

voted cold, as cheaper elsewhere, also onestop is very reliable, ive never waited more than 3 days.

Actually I havent voted as this comes with 2 year warranty, im not sure what standard one is think it's 1 year - 1 1/2. It depends what u use the flash for, and how frequenty. To be honest it's probably just worth getting it insured, will cost less than an extra year warranty. I think I got all my stuff covered for 3 years for around £100

They only list UK sites and one stop digital is based in Hong Kong so you will be liable for import duty and vat plus most postal service will make an additional surcharge to collect duty. Although they will refund the VAT portion if you claim with them but I wouldn't thought it would be worth the risk

Fair point, I completely forgot where they were based - as I say not ordered anything for a while. Luckily never been stung on anything previously either. But hit and miss I guess...

From one stop digitals website FAQs
We offer "VAT Free" guarantee on all of our products for FREE, meaning we guarantee that you will not have to pay any import charges (namely import duty, courier handling fees, VAT and GST), i.e., DUTY FREE. If you are asked to pay import charges when you receive your package, please pay for these charges as requested and send the original VAT receipt to us. We will then reimburse such charges upon receiving the receipt. We would like to remind our customers to make a photocopy of the receipt before posting the original copy.

This VAT Free guarantee is only available for orders shipped to the United Kingdom at the moment.

Plus check this out in OSD T&C's:-

9. How do I reclaim the VAT?

Please click on the "VAT Reclaim" link on the left column of our site, and fill in the details. After submitting the VAT Reclaim form, please post the original copy of the VAT receipt to Onestop Digital, Unit 2A, 11-13 Sau Chuk Yuen Road, Kowloon City, Hong Kong.

Please remember to make a photocopy of the VAT receipt for yourself before posting the original to us.

As soon as we receive the receipt, we will issue a VAT refund to you.

If your payment method was bank transfer, please send the VAT receipt with a cover note with your bank details, so that we can issue the VAT refund directly to your bank account.

10. How long is the warranty you are offering?

Unless otherwise stated, we offer 12 months "Return to Hong Kong" warranty for all of our cameras and 6 months warranty for camera lenses and flashguns.

Please note that some products on our site do come with manufacturer's international warranty. If this is the case, it would be stated in the product description.

Please see our terms & conditions for full details.

So basically only 6 months return to Hong Kong warrenty with that item as it dosen't state a international warrenty is supplied in the item description so I would say the extra £40 and a lot less hassle for a UK item with 2 years warenty is well worth it so I vote the OP hot as well

Canon cover the warranty on any internet orders.
I even got canon cashback on a lens from onestopdigital.

I've never had a flashgun fail, so warranty isn't an issue, especially when most people who would spend this amount on a flashgun are more than likely semi-pros would upgrade within the 2 year period anyway...
Either way, you have 2 good options, and both cheap (er) prices.
