Canon EOS 7D Digital SLR Camera with 18-135 EF-S IS Lens Refurbished + WARRANTY

I have been looking for a 7D for a while and prices are still high even with new models around. Seems like a good deal.

Hot I think....Isn't the 7D a Full Frame sensor though, if so it won't work with an EF-S lens will it, won't the mirror hit the back of the lens?? Or have I got the wrong end of the stick...

7d is a 1.6x crop, so EF-S lenses work fine.

Magic Lantern has just been released for this as well... Superb combo!

Well, well, well. I always thought the xD series were FF. Hot deal.

I so tempted by this. Been looking for a while.. I want a 100 - 400 lens for wildlife.. Ouch feel my wallet hurting.

Not sure why this cameras RRP is so insanely high in the UK.

My thoughts too. Seems like ALL companies are beginning to sell items in the UK for the same number of £££££'s they sell for $$$$$$ in the USA

Hot but I'm waiting on the 6D.

I'm a Nikon boy but voted hot for this solid camera!

Great camera especially for wildlife. Bought this last time. Well worth it.

Looks like you'd safely get £150 for the lens on ebay, if you already happen to have something.
So £750 for the body.
I think that makes it cheaper than all the importers.

As they've got a few of them, I wouldn't be surprised if they've never been taken out of the box.

I had a good look at these. There was a lot of negative feedback on the site regarding the more expensive items.
Put me off somewhat.

With the recent firmware update, I think this is the best DSLR out there unless u want a full frame body.

I bought the 7D from this seller (with the 15-85mm EF-S for a fair few quid more than this deal), great camera, good price, super hot from me.
Have also bought a speedlight from canon outlet on ebay in the past and both transactions have been fine.

sorry cold, I take better pictures with my iPhone on instagram.

Only kidding.

Dont forget when you buy new one you get cashback.

Claim £80 cashback on the Canon EOS 7D. Offer runs from 23/08/2012 - … Claim £80 cashback on the Canon EOS 7D. Offer runs from 23/08/2012 - 31/10/2012 (inclusive)

I think cash back doesn't include refurbs

Go the whole hog and get a full frame 5D,:D nice camera though

Looks good, I got a 550d from this seller and thought the service was great

A note of caution. On previous threads wrt this seller (Digital River?) when things have gone wrong they have been poor for service. Last time I looked they had even sent out cheaper cameras that specified.

Not voted.

I recently got a 7D and EF 70-300mm L IS from this Ebay seller for £1200.
Have to say the camera and lens were brand new.

Does not include Ebay sellers or refurbished cameras.

900 quid for a second hand 7D with a mediocre lens? Think I'll pass.

I'm sure they will be gutted about that.

Not a great camera...too many infifferent reviews by users. I had one for about two weeks...but sold it. Better images from my 40d. Also issues with sharpness.

haha! Yeah, I'm sure.

i recently got an eos 5d as new with 500 actuations for £550 with battery grip...I bought a 40mm pancake lens for £134 for a walk around lens which gets amazing optical reviews....now im up fro a 24 - 105 l lens...which will cost more than the camera!....

got to say full frame makes all the difference...optically i wouldn't bother with that lens either as mentioned above....

40mm is a great combination with the 5d see below

As the saying goes, a bad workman always blames his tools .

I had the 40D, still have a 50D and the 7D is far better in every department ... needs a lot more patience to get the most out of it.

I bought a 7D from the refurb store a few months ago body only £750... It looked brand new everything sealed.

Just shot a Music Video with it and got great results with a Tamron 17-50 and Tokina 11-16. Still a good camera with the 2.0 firmware and Magic Lantern

Am sure the guy in Jessops Bolton said he chopped his 5D in for a 550D and 'never looked back' . (When I was looking at lighting - wasn't trying to sell me one)

Similar to above, I'm finding it difficult replacing the 40D. The 50D was worse. The 60D similar but adds video. The 7D is only slightly better, but the improvement is in low ISO, which is useful. But it's also bigger and heavier.
The main problem is I only paid £350 for the 40D, so all these seem really expensive!

The 7D is a big step up from the 40D in terms of AF, Image Quality and high speed shooting capabilities. I went from a 40D to a 7D and was surprised at the difference I noticed in my images. Buy one!

Well that's good to hear actual experience, because there are many sites that suggest that IQ isn't really any better at all despite greater megapixels. (DXO Mark of 66 vs 64).
I agree that the focussing is much better, and it's also weather-sealed.
Other benefits are higher res screen, 8vs 6.5 fps, 100% viewfinder coverage.
But you'd expect the image quality to be cleaner at higher ISO, but it's only marginal.

I stopped looking at deeply technical reviews of bodies and lenses a while ago, and actually started testing them myself... I was the same as you and couldn't see an obvious upgrade from the 40D, until I used a 7D for a couple of hours and was convinced it was the right move for me.

Cheers lamptonpie.

If you insist on spending £900 on a 7D, then borrow an extra £100 and get this one instead. Brilliant 15-85 USM lens is worth £500 alone. HERE.

... and £550 for a 5D III with grip? Did you buy it from a guy in a balaclava? Ask him if he's got any more I'll take them all.
