High end Canon lens. Only 5 available. camerapricebuster says this has only briefly dropped to £328 a while back at Currys. Best price from UK suppliers seems to be £377 currently.

It's a solid lens, but it's started showing its age recently now that there is newer Canon ultra-wide on the block, the 10-18mm. It's sharper throughout both the focal and aperture range and has less chromatic aberration, it's image stabilised, it has an STM focus motor, and goes for under £200 on Amazon. This lens does have its advantages, it has a larger maximum aperture (although not by an enormous margin, if that is important the Tokina 11-16mm is only £360-ish on Amazon and has a more significant f/2.8 constant aperture) and a wider focal range which notably goes up to the popular 35mm equivalent, allowing this lens to pull double duty to some extent as an ultra-wide and "standard zoom", and it's got a metal lens mount. Both are great, it comes down to which suits the individual shooter better.

I see what is being said in previous comment, but it's worth pointing out a few positives of this, because it's a fabulous good sensor lens in the real world. Yes, sharpness is a pixel peepers dream, and yes it may be lower than the 10-18, but there are far more important stats for wide angle shooting... Distortion (it's got less at 10mm than my 15-85 at 15mm) and flare (if you're shooting landscapes/sunrises) to name a couple. And in both this lens is better than the tokina and cheaper Canon. The only negative to this lens is it's aperture for something such as astro photography. In which case you'd look at wider apertures like the tokina. If you want sharpness go and buy a samyang 10mm f2.8 prime... This is a great all rounder though, and well worth 310 imho.
