Looking at getting into photography. Is the camera to go for at around £300? Is the Nikon D3100 worth considering over this?

I would go for canon every day and this is a fab price!
It's quite a normal price, in fact it has been cheaper before. I have been tempted but the reviews are a bit soso overall.
