This doesn't have the moveable touchscreen of it's bigger brother the 700D but is still quite some camera for the price.

Amazon have also price matched it if you prefer to buy from there instead.

Still not decided which to go for myself but if anyone knows of a deal for the 700D I would love to know about it. Not the ebay sites doing grey imports though.

Far better deal here:-

hotukdeals.com/dea…685

Sell the starter kit for £50 easy.

2 Years Warranty too with Jessops

And the biggest PLUS - you don't have to suffer Currys/PCW Customer Service ... known as the worst in retail ....

Nah, freezing cold, sorry ......

dont think its far better really - filter and card worth the 20 and bag looks like a bulky box
hassle of selling etc - no ta

could also get for 249@ amazon . think a 5quid off code also

2 year warranty?

Far better Customer Service if anything goes wrong?

365 free prints?

£50 easy sell of new items?

Jessops is a far better bet ......

Maybe I'm biased as I had to take CURRYS to court to get them to honour their legal obligations .... they lost of course, but how they treated a Customer was an absolute disgrace.

Google it, I'm not alone ..... they shouldn't be in business anymore.

just repeating yourself?

already said about amazon

hassle selling that tat that comes with it

free prints often floating about

personal choice

great price but pity it doesn't come with the IS lens, still £329 with the IS lens on amazon.

Nikon d3200 better

You only need the IS Lens if you have problems holding a camera steady, in that case may I point you in the direction of a much simpler camera.

And a Nikon is no good if you have invested heavily in Canon lenses, Canons are generally far superior anyway.

Let me know too. I am looking for a Canon 700d

if this was the IS lens great value otherwise not so much. if you want the IS lens Costco instore have the best deal in the UK atm.
Also for £100 more could get the 100D which has much higher res screen, touchscreen, HDR and IS lens.

rubbish, IS lens will help anyone thats pushing shutter speed down as far as possible to maintain quality in poor light
perhaps a different lens may be better in that case but if you have one with IS and the 'same' without then IS is going to help

100D - hold it and see how plastiky it is ..... it comes across as a toy.

Those who need IS shouldn't be in charge of a DLSR .... there are simpler camera's for them
