CANON EOS 1300D DSLR Camera with 18-55mm & 75-300mm Lens £359 @ Currys

Bundle deal of CANON EOS 1300D DSLR Camera with 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 (standard kit lens) & 75-300 mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens.

This costs in at £379 but you can then get £20 cashback from Canon directly.

I know the Nikon 3400 is technically a better camera, but most would not notice the difference, and the benefit of WiFi on the Canon versus Bluetooth on the Nikon (which only lets you transfer lower resolution 2MB files) makes the Canon the one for me personally.

I could be wrong but I’m sure I saw the 1300d in Costco at the weekend for £299

With two lenses?

Maybe not. I didn’t really pay much attention to it as it’s out of my price range.
Is this the same lense?

Canon EF 75-300mm f/4.0-5.6 III Lens amazon.co.uk/dp/…V38
The longer lens is useless. I wouldn't recommend the older generation of Canon. Add some £50 and go for 200d.. Dual Pixel AF and new sensor and processor digic 7 will make a big difference!
Good find and amazon pricematch

Good so there is the Nikon for £299 .is that preferable to the 200
Think this has actually been cheaper in the past, but with cashback this is a good deal

The 200d is £539 on Amazon, so not really a slight increase. Good insight on the lens. These are the two size lenses I need which is part of what attracted me to the deal. Still haven't purchased as you never know what's coming in the sales.
Agree with above. 200d is amazing. Bought it for 489 on amazon, factor in £50 cashback and it's great. Keep an eye out for offers, regularly comes up at lower price than 539.
Waiting for
a 200 D on offer again myself
I really regret not picking up the d3400 when it came back on amazon last time. I've never had a dslr but would love to pick one up. I just feel like if i bought this now I'd regret it as i'm sure there'll be some good budget contenders straight after Christmas
Are the lens and/or body stabilized?

Not really comparable since your £469 buys you only the 200D body, with no lenses. The £539 from Amazon price includes the 18-55 lens, and the 1300D is £315 with it's (lower quality) 18-55 lens. With cashback the 1300D is £295 and the 200D is £490, so almost £200 extra. The 200D is an excellent camera, but to suggest it's only going to cost you £50 extra is ludicrous.
