I know this has been posted before, but you can now get the camera at this price with the help of a few voucher codes.

I think Jacobs have a glitch with their voucher codes because they seem to be redeemable against anything.

You must add the items to basket in a certain order.

Okay first add the SLR to your basket
jacobsdigital.co.uk/ind…784

Then add this for £1.99 (if you can find something for 99p then even better)
jacobsdigital.co.uk/ind…814

Then use the following codes in this order:
For £40 off when spending £600 use this code : july40
And this one for free delivery : julyfreepost

brings the total to £560.97

and you can also get £19 quidco (3.5%)
Which in effect brings it down to £540

accidently clicked 'expired' on this, apologies if it affects anything, maybe a mod could un-do it for me?

Nor me, but have some rep for the find. {Sorry, no heat}

Canon are doing £60 trade in on this camera if you send them a form signed by an instore demonstrator and an old SLR/DSLR of any make. I picked up a form in Currys today, offer runs 1st July to 31st August.

What do you think the chances are of taking the invoice into jacobs and asking them to fill it in
OR
Canon honoring it if I fill it out myself and send them the invoice (and a £5 fleabay special).

If you go D5000, there is a cashback deal with Nikon at the mo...

excellent deal... I was holding out for the £50 canon cashback deal like they did last year with the 450d but this is tempting.

Ooh - this is making this camera tempting. The cashback isnt advertised on the canon website though - is it a Currys only thing?

There is no such discount coupon.
Please try again.

Looks like July40 is over.

It looks like you'll probably qualify for the Canon cashback promotion as well:

canon.co.uk/eos…asp

There is a list of participating retailers and Jacobs are listed so you could get the cashback unless they for some reason exclude Jacobs online sales.

I ordered the camera last night as I'm trading up my EOS400D, but wil either buy a cheap SLR off ebay to try for the offer or also have my old film EOS Film SLR (Which I still don't really have the heart to part with yet!)

Oops - just realised the T&Cs say it is for in-store purchases only, but not sure if anyone has any ideas if there is a way around this?

Yeah that's what I'm trying to work out. I ordered from Jacobs last night. Obviously the invoice has stuff about postage on. Shame there's no option to collect from store, get them to 'demonstrate' and then sign the form.

I did think about just putting a squiggle for the demonstrators sig and then putting the store name as the Jacobs Leicester store.

Good deal.

My order is showing as backordered even though it's still showing in stock :?

I just tried to put something to go over £600 and when I put the code it says: Error

This coupon is not valid for the products that in your shopping basket now

so I guess it's expired
