I'm pretty sure this is the lowest ever price for this camera + kit lens + flash. Still £250 on Amazon.

It's £250 from an Amazon third party seller. I picked one up when Currys had them at £150, great little camera, especially with the 22mm on.

Not the lowest price (although a time machine would be needed to take advantage of the 149 deal at currys last year). Good price, good camera. Invest in an adapter to allow the use of full size lenses.

Well reviewed Meke (spelling) adaptors available for c.£20 on ebay.

I couldn't find these...are they the same as you would get from Canon?

Holy poo, it was £150? Anyway this is still proper hot.

Anyone found any anywhere?

Great price for a great camera.

Great camera - don't think you can get any better at this price.

No viewfinder! Best of luck if you ever try to take a picture when it's sunny. Do what most people do, point it in the general direction and hope for the best.:{

I got this last time for £199 from Agros after missing the Currys deal. Really good camera and the screen is fine in the sun

Doesn't seem to be that much stock. Have found one at about my 8th closest Argos. Tempted at this price, but not sure. If my local had I'd probably have bought

nice find op, heat added

great price, great camera, but dead system.

I've bought one today in irvine store hopefully a good camera

slow focus is a dead fish

This was fixed with a firmware update.

I bought one of these @ £199.99 @ Argos. A good camera IMO. It is a little slow at focusing but picture quality is great with the supplied kit lens and better again with the 22mm lens which I purchased recently on e-bay for £66 (New) I also have the Meike adaptor for use with EOS lenses.
I personally think its a bargain !!

sure it was, lol. Cause firmwares are called that cause they fix the hardware, how silly of me.

Focus will be done by a combination of hardware (motors) and software (focus algorithm). Sure the firmware update can't change the motor, but it can push out an improved algorithm to speed things up.

Better photographers turn that little button that says AF/MF to MF.

...Well researched...

Firmware update 2.0.2. went a long way to address the earlier issues.........but some say it came along too late to save the model. It's a bargain now though at £179 inc lens & flash

Just reserved one as a backup

Available in all 5 of my nearest shops ... well that's a first, normally things like this are sold out.

Shame I already have one. have to say though, for the money it's a fantastic little camera ... I use one for when I don't want to take out my 7D and L lenses (as long as it's not sunny, hate not having a VF on days like that). Built like a miniature tank, get a 22mm f2 lens for it and you have a cracking little street camera (the 11-22mm is excellent as well). Has the 60D sensor in it so it outputs great photos, AF a little slow but after the firmware update it's very usable just the same.

What's the advantage of using fixed 22mm over 18-55mm?

If you are wanting to video something thats on your desk ... like for when you do video reviews of mobiles ... which lens is best for this?

Will this camera be good and suitable to shoot video reviews of products for youtube? I was looking at the 600 or 650D but they are a lot more expensive...

22mm prime is fixed so you zoom with your feet, the 18-55 zooms over the distance.

This is a no brainer for cost, was £770 on release........the 18-55 will suit for video work too.

Focus isn't that bad at all, just as quick as any Sony NEX or Fuji X.

That much I know

Wasn't asking about focusing or difference between fixed and variable lenses.
@Sockpuppetuk and @oddballjamie mentioned 22mm that's why I asked. Is it because of it being (moderate) wide-angle lens, better photos quality or what?

One of the better mirrorless cameras I've used, the 22mm (FF 35mm equiv.) is one of the best lenses I've owned on any system.
The 11-22mm is an excellent wide lens too, and relatively cheap.

AF is perfectly usable, not DSLR quick but just as fast as any NEX or my Fuji X-M1.

£179? Bargain.
