The deal seem to be back on again with Currys

with further £60 cash back from Canon:

canon.co.uk/sum…ack

could be a bargain for a two lenses system (I know M50 is probabaly not the most attractive mirrorless system on the market)

  • 24.1 megapixels
  • APS-C / 22.3 x 14.9 mm CMOS sensor
  • Built-in WiFi / Bluetooth / NFC
  • 3" vari-angle LCD touchscreen
  • 10 fps in continuous shooting mode

This system won’t last 5 years so I would personally spend the extra getting the eos-r however I also think they have some catching up to do compared to Sony and Fuji
It certainly will last over five years. It sells bucketloads in Japan where it’s the best selling mirrorless camera by a country mile.
Great price but I wouldn't buy from Currys again.
really nice camera. Especially with 22mm f2.0 lens.
I bought one of these a couple of months ago....body and just the 15-45mm lens for £499 from amazon...the deal comes up every now and again ...worth looking out for if you dont need the 55-200 yet.

Absolutely love it and you can fit lenses from different formats with an adapter so don't worry about lack of lens choice for the future...its a superb camera.
Great camera and perfect size for travelling and street shots. My only gripe with canon is that if you invest in their EF-M lens, you can’t you it in any other Canon cameras. If we buy those Ef or ef-a lens, then it defies the reason for getting a small camera.

This system started in around 2012 so another 5 years gives it a lifespan longer than some others and it’s decent enough for the average user, so why not. I had the first one and it did a job. Frankly you could still shoot good enough stills and vid with the first one for day to day stuff. So as long as it keeps working then it’s good for years.

Sometimes it’s just down to personal taste, feel and so on
