The ultimate content creation machine

The image quality your creativity deserves
Enjoy the perfect balance of resolution, dynamic range and low noise. A state-of-the-art 20.1 megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC X processor allow new levels of low-light performance, with maximum ISO 102,400 sensitivity and up to 8-stops of image stabilisation.

Intelligent focusing for the ultimate sharpness
Capture fast action with confidence: the EOS R6’s Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system can focus in as little as 0.05s. Up to 6072 selectable AF areas cover the frame, recognising and tracking faces and eyes in humans, cats, dogs and birds in both stills and movie modes.

A camera you can connect with
The EOS R6 links to your smart devices with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, so it’s easy to share photos with your online audience and upload them to our image.canon cloud service. Try controlling the camera remotely for alternative viewpoints.

Powerful image stabilisation for new ways of shooting
The EOS R6 features a five-axis in-body Image Stabilizer (IBIS) that provides up to 8 stops of protection from camera shake even when shooting with lenses that do not have their own optical IS. The In-Body Image Stabilizer sensor provides roll, X-Y and pitch-yaw correction, so all EF and RF lenses benefit from this new 5-axis correction. However, when a compatible IS-equipped RF lens is fitted, the camera and lens stabilisation systems combine, compensating for pitch-yaw movement together and creating an intelligent image stabilisation system that delivers an incredible 8-stop advantage.

New levels of realism from an electronic viewfinder
The EOS R6’s electronic viewfinder refreshes at up to 120 frames per second and features no fewer than 3.69 million dots. The result is a staggering realistic view of the world that will have you feeling totally immersed in the scene – as if there is nothing between you and your subject. Of course, this state-of-the-art EVF also previews factors such as white balance, depth of field and Picture Style, so you’ll always know what you are shooting.

AF and subject tracking powered by deep-learning AI
The EOS ITR AF X AF system in the EOS R6 has been programmed using a deep-learning AI, originally developed for our ground-breaking EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR camera. In Face/Eye detection mode, the system recognises faces accurately, including those in profile when only one eye is visible. This ensures subjects are kept razor-sharp, even when moving unpredictably and depth of field is shallow. And if a person turns away for a moment, their head or body continues to be tracked so that their face is sharp when they turn back towards the camera.

Furthermore, the EOS R6’s deep-learning AI has been programmed with the ability to recognise and track cats, dogs and birds – focusing on either their bodies, faces or eyes. This makes photographing wildlife easier than ever before, especially subjects such as birds in flight.

This class-leading AF system can focus in as little as 0.05sec and in light levels as low as -6.5 EV giving you the confidence you need to capture superb results.

More powerful battery
The EOS R6 is powered by a more powerful new LP-E6NH battery, which adds approximately 14 per cent more capacity than the older LP-E6N battery. LP-E6NH batteries can be charged using the supplied battery charger or in-camera via the USB C 3.1 connection alongside Canon’s PD-E1 power adapter or a power source with power delivery (PD) capabilities. The BG-R10 battery grip is also available, which can accommodate two batteries at once for extended shooting times. Older LP-E6 and LP-E6N batteries are compatible with the EOS R6, although the very fastest shooting rates and in-camera charging are not available when using the LP-E6.

I bought an R6 on Black Friday last year, think it ended up costing about the same as this. It's a total joy of a camera to use.

I don't even have any native RF lenses, I've got a substantial collection of EF lenses (Canon, Sigma and Tamron, low and high end). Without exception, everything I've tried works far better than it ever did on my DSLRs. One really ancient Sigma fisheye doesn't work properly with stabilisation, so I turn IS off when I'm using it; apart from that I have encountered no hitches. So I'm in no hurry to buy any of the expensive new RF lenses.

The longest telephoto I've got is the Tamron G2 150-600 which works great with the R6 and the adapter. (Reportedly the G1 doesn't.) So I can vouch for that as a good choice for wildlife. Any of the modern Sigmas should be fine too.

Strongly recommend the control ring adapter, I use the control ring all the time for exposure compensation.

More than I wanted to pay for a camera, but after getting screwed over in the John Lewis GH5mk2 deal, I needed one. Have a ton of good EF glass, so at this price it was a no-brainer.

For context, if you're unsure, after cashback, this is as cheap as the Hong Kong importers, and ballpark with used ones on eBay. A phenomenal bit of kit. The MK2 has just dropped, but stocks are extremely limited and will be for some time, plus, even from the importers, they're around £700-950 more expensive than this. I actually came here to post the deal after stumbling across it, but glad to see someone has already done it.

£1,999.00 delivered, £1809 is after cashback and £10 sign-up voucher (if that's applicable to you) but still £100 cheaper than Park Camera and Amazon who are the next cheapest I'm aware of. (edited)

I'm just a beginner looking to capture sports and wildlife and have been considering the R10 with a free EF adapter from Harrison Camera. Probably need longer telephoto lenses but no third party lenses being available means expensive RF glass. Would anyone know any downsides to using the EF adapter or any good EF lenses? (edited)

You can get the Canon RF 100-400mm f5.6-8 IS USM Lens for £539 after cash back which on the R10 cropped sensor gives you plenty of reach. (edited)
