Someone posted that code under my deal on the german deal site.

I kind of agree, I have a 2TB MyCloud at home to store most of my photos on then use Google Photos unlimited storage (yes it's lower quality but a lower quality backup is better than no photo at all) to to backup JPEG, I keep a copy of my RAW files on Amazon Cloud Drive (they count as photos included in the unlimited storage with Prime) and then Flickr for my High Quality JPEGs.

Plus I've got OneDrive too although rarely use it. With all the extra codes bringing it up to over 280GB though, I might consider it.

Don't forget using IRISTADACH17 to get an additional shot of 50 GB

Tried this on my account and it worked fine, tried on my wife's one and strangely says it's invalid.

Some users from the german deal site, just said the other vouchers aren't working either. So I guess Canon disabled all the codes.
Excellent find. A couple of the 50GB codes are no longer working but very happy to get 230GB of extra storage I didn't have 5 minutes ago. Thanks OP.
They can go through your stuff pretty much to see if you're complying with copyright and they can sell your pictures. Nothing is free.

Canon will only use your Materials for the purpose of providing you with the irista Services. To do this, you grant Canon and those we may work with a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, sub-licensable right to do everything necessary to provide the irista Services, including (without limitation) to use, publish, reproduce, host and store your Materials
thanks op! IRISTARETAIL and IRISTATEAM seem to be expired now though. popped up saying they were finished. still...180gb for nothing, not bad!
Some more codes I found
(+50GB) IRISTADACH17
(+50GB) IRISTA4FRANCE

I have tried the following but they have not worked
- IRISTATEAM +50 GB
- IRISTARETAIL +50 GB
Some codes are expired, but I've got 180GB happy enough

Hmm, that's a bit of a worry, I don't think I'll be using this then - I mainly wanted it to back up my RAW files from my upcoming trip. Depending how things go I'd like to try and use upload some of the images to some stock photography sites, so the idea that Canon will have the option to use them free of charge isn't an appealing one. This isn't going to be an issue for many people but it looks like a deal breaker for me.

What firmware are you running? I picked up a few of these when Asda was selling them off for £30. I sold a couple and finally decided to try out one. I updated the firmware and then read that with that firmware "upgrade" they removed the option to shut it down from the dashboard! I've set it up on my folks wifi so I can access it when I'm travelling but I'd rather it wasn't on all the time as my Father has a habit of turning everything off at the plug! I was wanting to keep it turned off until I need to access it, and then just send get in touch and have them boot it up. I've only had it running for a few days so I'll have to look into the SSH stuff. Shame about Canon giving themselves full access to your images through this app as it was going to be my main alternative cloud backup.

Be prepared to see your face on billboards, cereal packets, pints of milk, Dogfood etc... You are giving them permission to use all your photos fro free

Or as they summarise themselves..

In order for us to provide you irista, you provide us the right to use your pictures. But your photos are always your property and Canon has no rights to use them outside of delivering irista to you. If you ever want to leave irista, our rights to use your photos is ended.
those wondering about when the storage may expire

Any idea how well integrated this is compared to Google Photos? I love the fact that I can take a photo on my phone and it is instantly backed up to my Google Photos, no hassle. I don't want to have to go through all of my collections and upload them.

And to those worried about Canon using your photos, you're getting ~300GB storage for free, there has to be some way of recuperating that cost
Thanks op for this
does anyone know how long do you get the free space for
Their subscriptions are monthly??

T&C's contradict that in another part :
2.3 Files and other content

2.3.1 Files

This category includes images that you upload to Canon Services, and their relevant descriptions and metadata. We hold no rights over the content you upload to our Services unless you expressly grant them to Canon, but you authorize us to use this information for the following purposes:

To improve your user experience and the overall quality of our services:
With computer vision and analysis of photo metadata, we can help you more easily organize and enjoy your collection of photos on our online photo storage services.
We do not conduct any human/manual processing of your content.
To provide customers with more useful information, more relevant content and offers, and latest news about products and events:
Understanding the type of photos you like to take means we can provide you with more personalized and helpful information, such as expert hints and tips, learning resources, or details about relevant training courses.
IRISTATEAM and IRISTARETAIL are no longer valid but all other codes worked. Great Stuff, thank OP
Website now having issues - temperamental at best?

I'm on 2.21.126 I've never turned it off, the Drive inside powers down when not in use so it's not too bad, although mine is almost always in use serving media to the Android TV in the living room.
Lovely, 330GB of storage, I do use Google Photo's but you can never have too much free cloud storage!
Managed to create an account but website very temperamental and now will not allow a login. Didn't get a chance to apply any voucher codes . Guessing too many HUKD'rs hitting the website!
Edited by: "horatiog" 6th Mar 2017
Can't sign in either with the app or on the website. I'd be happy with just the basic 15gb so long as it actually works.
Finally managed to get in.

Edited by: "Tony_M" 6th Mar 2017
Same here, have the app installed and already have an account but it won't let me log in to add the free storage. "There's been a problem. Sorry, our website is currently experiencing some difficulties. Please try again later."
I could only get IRISTADACH17 to work.
Finally managed to log in to my account. The only code that I could get to work was IRISTADACH17 which gave an extra 50Gb.

Wondering whether this would be a good alternative to Flickr (looking to leave Flickr given Yahoo's alarming security record).

Same for me
registered account successfully and verified, but can't sign-in from either the app or the computer. keeps saying "Sorry, our website is currently experiencing some difficulties." wondering if worth using crapware so unstable

Yep, looks like they've shut the others down. Any chance others might turn up?

That said, the terms quoted above are more than a little worrying...
Thankfully I have not started to upload any photos after reading the terms above, don't think I will use them.
Not sure I understand the distaste for the permissions as detailed in the T&Cs.

They seem pretty normal for this type of service.

They expect you to grant them the right to do stuff in order to entice you to use their service, buy more of their service, or buy products or services from third parties that integrate with their service (eg photobooks). They need your permission to use your data (your photos) in that way. This is all aimed at finding ways to package back to *you* your own images. Not sure how you would expect to use a free service which includes gizmos (eg probably some level of auto-organisation or red-eye processing or the like) without granting them permission to do so.

They don't claim image rights over your images. "In order for us to provide you irista, you provide us the right to use your pictures. But your photos are always your property and Canon has no rights to use them outside of delivering irista to you."
