good price. but surprisingly bad reviews on amazon. maybe good enough for a child?
A great camera for that price - Heat
Reviews are poor.they mention poor photo quality.maybe ok for a child.otherwise I'd avoid.
Prefer the Nikon Coolpix series to the Canon Ixus but this is a good price...
Wow. Never thought I'd see an Ixus for 50 quid!

I would take a look first, there a some nice photos taken with this camera on Flickr.

It's a small, inexpensive camera you can keep in your bag or jacket pocket, it has a good lens and a good optical zoom, so in some ways it's more flexible than a fixed-lens smartphone camera. Ideal for the Christmas/party season - good quality snaps without getting out your £600 smartphone.

What did the child do to deserve that?
bought... it's cheap and cheerful
I need some photography experts help in deciding.... I'm after a reasonable camera for casual shooting and don't want to spend too much... No more than about £100...

I've narrowed down a few ranging from £50 to about £100 and need someone to tell me which is decent and very good value for money... Thanks in advance and the list is :

Canon IXUS 160
Canon SX610 HS
CANON PowerShot S200
Sony DSC-W800 or W830
Canon IXUS 275
Panasonic Lumix TZ55
Test
Besford

Thats true, everyone wants to give everything to their 'child'? (etc, etc) .. better for the 'adults' to learn how to like use their own 'toys' first me thinks ..... :-(

Hehehehe. :-)
