This is an absolutely cracking camera and well worth £115 investment.

Best compact i've ever owned.

My sister has the IXUS 70 and that is good camera, i have this is even better and for £115 brillant....heat and ordered.

Very good camera. Bought one at Christmas.

Great price - has face recognition and never blurs - i love mine! Big sreen as well - great post.

voted hot!

that's an amozing prize!

This looks hot, but so does the finepix f40fd hotukdeals.com/ite…di/ which I was thinking of getting.
Anyone got any ideas which is better? I like the 3 inch screen in this one

Very good price for a great camera! big clear 3" screen on the back good quality video recording aswell, I have my set to the vivid colour setting to make all the photos really rich and colourful!

This camera is still about £170 in shops!

Great find, voted hot. I'm on my 3rd Canon camera now, they really do take good pictures. Admittedly I use the Powershot range rather than Ixus as I prefer AA batteries and I'm not too bothered about the smaller size of the Ixus. Still, if you want a very compact camera for about this price, this is the one I'd recommend.

One thing to note however, the ixus 75 doesn't have a viewfinder, you have to use the screen. If you think you might prefer to have a screen and an optical viewfinder then you might want to consider the ixus 70. It's not a big problem for 99% of people, but worth mentioning just in case.

I got this the other day, however I went into PC world and negotiated a pricematch as well as a further 10% off the difference making it £113.50

Difference between this and Ixus 70 please? Is it really that much better? I've got an ixus 70 ATM.

Looks good, my last camera broke (casio exlim) so i wanted to try something different hope it is as good as the reviews say it is.

Personally I'd stick with the ixus 70, the 75 has a slightly bigger screen, but the 70 is slightly smaller and has an optical viewfinder. I think the only real advantage with the 75 is the bigger screen - although I am prepared to be corrected.

Of course, if you happen to have a £2.50 voucher - Thanks HUKD, then this is £112.50

Just bought one of these for my wife. Excellent camera, good quality pictures and really clear large LCD screen.

She is over the moon with it.

I had a casio exlim, that broke which I replaced with a pentax s6 which broke aswell now on my third compact digital camera the Ixus 75!

no problems so far (touch wood).

Yes a good deal but the 70 is basicly the same camera workings with a smaller LCD to make way for the viewfinder.

Be aware that the 70 is available in store at Tesco Extra for £89.97 including a Selphy printer!

I bought one this last Monday at Hucknall where they had a pallet full.

Agreed, the ixus 70 deal is a better one, if you can find it. I think the problem is that it's too easy to assume that the 75 must be a newer model.

It's obviously already been said plenty of times before but i'd def recommend this at that price! Bargain!

As a slight side note, many of the Canon PowerShot and IXUS cameras can be given a large number of extra features using an add-on firmware called CHDK. This doesn't replace the existing camera firmware but lives on the memory card and gets loaded in, so it's completely safe to use. The extra features include being able to use RAW mode, create custom ISO values, fiddle with exposure times, an extra display mode which displays what areas of a picture will be under or over exposed with current settings, a scripting language based on BASIC which allows things such as time-lapse photography and motion detection, and a whole bunch of other bits of stuff which I haven't yet investigated.

The main website is at ]http//ch…HDK and there is a beta version for the IXUS 75 at ]http//ch…750 (the cameras tend to be mainly known by their US names, hence the SD750 reference)

I've just popped it on an IXUS 50 and it's given it a new lease of life - right now it's taking 1000 shots at 3 second intervals for a short timelapse film.

Might make the IXUS 75 offer even more tempting, so submitted as a bit of "value added"!

Cheers guys - just wanted to make sure I made the right choice by buying the Ixus 70! ;-)

While searching for reviews of this camera on Google I noticed that the sponsored link to Amazon states that this offer of £115.05 is for TODAY ONLY.

Expired.

Now £120 + p&p (about £7) from pixmania.
