Amazon reviews back this up. The cheap Lowepro range offer good design at a reasonable price I got this from amazon Lowepro Apex 5AW on offer for £2 odd. Worth a lot more. Great design its about £5 now from marketplace sellers.

Canon should be ashamed of this rubbish.

£2 for any Canon part is cheap but the reviews state it damages your camera.

"a poorly designed case" "too short(for an ixus 960 IS), ... some genius of industrial design decided it would be trendy to attach the strap to the case with an aluminum carabiner, this attaches inside of the case so the lovely sharp edges of the carabiner can scratch your lcd or lens(personal preference). I've removed the carabiner and just tied the cord to the case. "

Other reviews are positive "This is a neat, lightweight, drawstring purse for the protection of the rather cool Canon Digital Ixus - prevents day to day scratches and knocks that carrying in a bag or pocket would result in. The ideal accessory."

So ok for light use? But 3/10 compare tot he Lowepro Apex 5AW 10/10

I have several small Canon compacts and I want a case that will protect my camera from bumps, water etc. This is a sock case only
