Looks a very good deal for an all in one. Argos appear to be getting shot of a load, as the model is being replaced. Still selling for £63 on Amazon where lots of good reviews.

But unlike CANON printers for which cheap compatible cartridges (eg £1-£3) ARE usually available, the Dell/Lexmark ones typically do NOT have any such money saving opportunities - eg the first set of Dell/Lexmark inks might well cost MORE than the printer!

If its helpful if ordered today predicted delivery date is Wednesday for the £2.99 postage. Would be great for all starter students, heading off to uni in the next couple of weeks.

Do you have a good suggestion for cheap cartridges? Last time I purchased compatible ink, it was a bad experience, all the basic prints have a white line across every line of text. So if you know of a good place to get cheap and good ink, then I would love to give it a go thanks.

As far as im aware no cheap compats for this Canon model which makes this a bad deal IMO

Slash for carts check out ink-power on Ebay , they may be a bit dearer than others but the quality is top notch

This thread was put up yesterday, haven't bought compatible cartridges from this company myself but perhaps you can ask members who've posted about their experience - that is assuming that this company has compatible cartridges for this printer.

Crikey - seems also it's a 1 x Black + 1 x Colours carts too - that's why I covered myself with the USUALLY remark earlier.

Think you'd be a bit mad to want this over the say Epson SX115 at around £27-30 that's been featured on here in the last few days - ie one with 4x T071n carts which are readily avaiable at c£1 carts.

Makes THIS "HUKD" one of those "hardly worth buying at any price" type of deals - though I guess if you HAD to have a printer this afternoon and it was all that was available you could buy it and use it for the few hundred pages the (probable starter) cartridges in it provided.

A quick check and there are black+colour compatible cartridges packs available for this printer for c.£8:00 on ebay. So your remarks are a bit harsh me thinks.
