After getting the MP540 for xmas at a cost of approx £88, I was gutted when I had todays Makro mail come through to see the MP620 for £52.86 incl. vat. This printer also has wifi and a 9600 resolution scanner. Hopefully this will help some other people out who's printers have just packed up. Please no cold voters just because you have no makro card. This doesn't make this a cold deal. Cheapest elsewhere on the net is approx £110 so double the price.

Awesome deal, thanks

Probably cheaper than a set of ink cartridges.

Actually cartridges for this printer are here inkredible.co.uk/Def…tIQ. Only £35 for 4 sets of 5 so only £1.75 each. Very quick next day delivery as well.

Cool, thanks.

This appears to have the same features as the newer MP560 which I'm guessing replaced it. The MP560 consumes less power on standby and has a couple of other minor improvements but basically it's the same spec.

I've done a lot of looking at this canon.co.uk/for…A;&
The two key differences are that this one uses more electricity and it only does manual two-sided printing when compared to the MP560. There are slight speed variations between this and the MP560, but it's swings and roundabouts.
Given this is £30 cheaper. Hot!

going to hotfoot it to Makro on the 2nd...thanks

Me too

Wish I hadn't got mine for xmas now, I would have joined you!!

hmmm tempted by this deal but just brought this printer deal hotukdeals.com/ite…-on. wondering to return it to get this canon. what you guys think

I bought this printer last year for £100 and it is spot on. I used to be an Epson follower but this mp gives stunning photo prints. At this price it is a bargain

Looks a great deal, heat added but I'm not holding my breath for my store to have one, anybody know if makro have better stock these days ? I haven't shopped there for a while as I was continuously let down by their supposed offers and no stock.

Do Makro cards go out of date? I have one but havent used it for over a year.

They will need to check it through when you arrive, they advise that you pop in and buy 'something' every now and then...I was told to just grab a loaf when passing to keep my details up to date.

damn I wasas going to use my dad's card as I've lostst mine.

Always worth a try in swiping through...it may accept it...which Macro?
..they were a bit behind the times at mine.

What time do they open? 7am?

This is a brilliant printer. The quality is amazing for an inkjet.

Question; Can anyone become a Makro customer, or just business that are VAT registered/self employed individuals?

Very good printer. Getting on a bit now, but still has a very competitive spec.

Very happy with mine:thumbsup:

I have this one on order from Amazon for £52.95 with a 1-3 month wait. Is it worth sitting out for a month to see if it comes? I can't see it taking any longer than that and I dont particuarly mind the wait.

Thanks.

The advert for this product does state that the model may vary by store - could be a few surprises instore as there will be other printers reduced, again whilst stocks last.

Ordered this a few months ago via amazon and paid over £100. Great printer and even better it has wi-fi, so no more stupid cables and you can print from anywhere in the house.

Interested to hear other users to see which they think is best out of these two. I have not ordered yet so am still undecided. Both get good reviews and only thing putting me off thisone is the high power use in standby mode, where as Epson one is high energy efficient. Both use similar power in printing.

Just bought the epson 515w from Comet for £69.99.Seems to be a very good printer.Amazon price seems a bit steep at £89.99.

Its not £89.99 on Amazon ....only £52.95

£89.99 from Amazon marketplace seller JCL Elink but look on the right on Amazon screen and they sell for £52 but 1-3 month wait for delivery

That is always the case with Makro the small stores only get a few (e.g Rayleigh) and the large ones (e.g Charlton) get loads

That's an entirely different printer. With no duplex and no ADF you won't want to be scanning much with this over the network, or printing much doublesided.

Here's an Epson review that makes me think the Canon is better:

They usually write to the car holder if they haven't used it for 6 months saying that you need to buy something or the card will be taken off you.

I have had mine for 27 years.

Local store sold out on Thursday. Bah!

Just been to Aberdeen store...no stock....not getting any in!! Boo Hoo

Edinburgh store just had the display one left, decided not to buy it.

Walked round Makro and remembered why I never go there, no bargains I could see at all, Costco is much better.

NO STOCK AT EXETER BRANCH PHONED THEM THIS MORNING NOT EXPECTING ANY EITHER.:x

Bum deal by the looks of it, getting rid of any display ones they have left probably.

Only 1 display model was available in Poole. That's it.

I think Makro mail misrepresents salr stock. Don't you?

Yep good luck to anyone finding one, mine had no stock and said they hadn't for quite along time but they also had one on display so I've taken a punt and gone for it as it doesn't seem many people will get one for this price.

Yeah, wishing I'd taken the display one now. Oh well...

Makro are rubbish though, couldnt see anything else I wanted.

Have to agree, puting items in a sales leaflet that they know they have very little or none of is just a way to get people in the store under false pretences.
