Seems like a decent price for an all in one and has good reviews. Only downside appears to be ink cost.

It's also £29.95 @ Morrisons (in store) so if you're out shopping and have the £2 off £40 shop vouchers which they were handing out a few weeks ago then you can get this even cheaper.

Here is confirmation of Morrisons price

Its print dpi resolution is half that of the new Pixma models, which were only £49.99 printer only and £54.99 3 in 1 just 2 weeks ago.

However if you want a 3 in 1 printer at a good price and don't care about it being the latest model or high resolution this is hot.

The official inks for these cost a fortune, but I always get inks on eBay at a ridiculously low price for 20 or so at a time.

OOS for home delivery but can be reserved for store pickup.

Dont let print cost put you off many sights on the net do compatible ink at a fraction of the cost and some are just as good or better!

it's nearly cheaper to by a new printer than it is to buy the replacement inks

Prices have dropped as the next model up (MG3250) is only £39.99 and offers wireless printing.

Oh and newer models are not always better. Higher up the range we have the recently released 6450. The former model 6350 has ethernet port, print dpi of 9600 and 6 ink cartridges the newer 6450 has dropped the ethernet port, is 4800dpi and is 5ink cartridges. You would think the 6450 would be the 6350s successor but it Looks like the newly introduced 7150 now takes over the 6350 feature set.

However I believe the inks they put in new printers aren't completely full.

Not sure what you wrote there - "consistent LABS winner in PC Pro A-List for MFD Devices for last 6 years" doesnt seem to fit ...

you win. carry on X)

Lads can it do disc printing? I mean is there a tray accessory for it?

I got this printer yesterday but struggling to install the driver on a Dell laptop running Windows 7 64-bit. The error message displayed is "An error occurred while files were being copied : 0001 0002"

Any ideas what it could be? I have tried to install from the supplied CD as well as Canon drivers from their website. Also tried disabling anti-virus and startup programs.

Have you previously used a Canon printer or have installed anything Canon related before? If so, in program files, uninstall anything Canon related. Then delete the Canon folder in C:\ProgramData & reboot your computer then try installing from the CD.

Iv had the pixma printer in this model for 2 years. The ink isn't cheap but the printer always works. Unlike my previous £300 "professional" HP printer which was useless.

Does anyone have a link to a decent ink selling site. I have the MG4150. Thanks.

I was gifted an older model, to print the plethora of letters school now email to save costs. Picked up stores own ink from ASDA for £2.50, usually £10. Works well every time.

@Thalagyrt

I have tried uninstalling everything and deleting folders in programfiles but still no luck. There are a number of users reporting the same problem if you google but no solution. Thanks

no idea what they're like for inkjet printers, but i've been buying laser toner from morgancomputers on ebay for a couple of years and had no problems.

(accidentally clicked like!)

No not the best buy. I bought it and returned back. Printed 20 papers and half ink cartridge is gone already !!

I had to return mine as well due to the driver installation problem. Anyother printer you guys can recommend for under £50? Thanks

You are using a USB cable from previous things and probably need to buy a newer USB cable which can handle more data through-put.
