I was looking for a cheap printer for some everyday printing but I didn't want to spend too much. I was going to get the Canon Pixma MG2550 as it was on offer for £25 though unfortunately or should I say fortunately it was no longer available so I went looking again and found this one.

I think it's a bargain not to be missed if you need a cheap yet decent printer. It has pretty much everything you need in a budget buy. According to some of the reviews apparently the WiFi is somewhat problematic to setup and requires a WPS compatible router in order to connect wirelessly.

Tri-colour ink sucks, yes I know but that's not an issue as you can get some cheap and easy refill kits without actually wasting ink.

To find out how to refill your ink cartridges check out these links (click-able links available in first post):

Black Ink Instructions: refreshcartridges.co.uk/igl…es/

Refill Kits: refreshcartridges.co.uk/ref…tml

Bulk Ink: refreshcartridges.co.uk/250…tml

Alternatively you can try eBay:

Refill Kit Type 1: ebay.co.uk/itm…128

Refill Kit Type 2: ebay.co.uk/itm…425

Bulk Ink: ebay.co.uk/itm…938

Just love Argos and their offers!

Enjoy your new printer!

You can't have everything. You want someone to wipe your backside too?

Oh and delivery is apparently FREE with Argos on this item. Did you even bother checking? Obviously not!

Cold - this model can't be hacked to play DooM!

LoL - just kidding - have some heat!

Although these range of printers do suffer from lack of security

MattWasHere

The idiot who voted down can come here and show us a better offer or GTFO.

Yes Matt, indeed I did check, otherwise I wouldn't have also gone to the trouble of checking Stores for collection. I did also see on your first screenshot that delivery was available when you posted, which is why I went back to the Argos page after a few minutes to see if it came back like it can on Argos.

So I bought the printer and came back to give you heat, but now I'm voting cold out of spite.

Thanks for letting me know. What can I say? Think/check before you write, open your mouth, or comment, might stop some people from getting frustrated over stupid comments and their laziness.

Thank you, ordered for mums xmas pressie x

LOL.

Some folk are strange. I had a great xbox one deal removed for spam (it wasn't) on Black Friday. Perhaps I should throw my toys out of the pram too.

Just what I was after thanks

Thank you

These are great general purpose printers (have two from this family) but despite what Canon may imply they aren't too good at photo's.

The MG3250 is not on that list

Was going to purchase but has terrible reviews everywhere and ink is expensive as my HP.

this or HP 2544 for £25?

It's the Internet where all kinds of people can be found, maybe I've got mental issues and stupid people aggravate me? Who knows...

Where can you get it for £25? If you're thinking about the Tesco deal, it's already expired.

Not a great printer, even at this price. Costly ink if you want t buy the real thing, and it doesn't like cheap inks much. Also constantly drops WiFi connection if used with a Mac.

Waste of time really, yer it is cheap, carts are expensive. Why buy a printer to instantly refill it with cheap inks. Cold.

I get my ink from here ebay.co.uk/itm…AIT Genuine Original Canon Black & Colour Ink Cartridges, i got this printer of ebay for a tenner ex-shop one, great printer

cartridges mega expensive

VOTING COLD - HOBO ATTITUDE FROM OP - been looking for a printer though so maybe I might get this. here have a cold vote.thanks OP

jpoolfitz

cartridges mega expensive

about £18 pound for both is not expensive

Looks a nice cheap printer for home printing.

Most HP inks are more expensive than Canons, not sure where people buy their ink from.

Due to pick up the HP from Tesco..

I have this printer. You can print wirelessly, but not scan wirelessly which is annoying. Also Canon cartridges are super expensive and the refill bottles are such a faff. The print quality for black and white is good, for anything else I would not recommend. Everything comes out faded and not sharp enough.

Am sure to be criticised, but if you are ordering then this might be wise:

Take up the special offer 2 - for an extra £11.69 add an extra black and colour cartridge total = £41.68

Better still,
take up special offer 3 - for another £6.69 (11.69 - £5 voucher for spending over £50) add another black and colour cartridge =£53.37 (less £5 cashback voucher) so £48.37.

Works out an extra £18.38 for two spare blacks and two spare tri-colours

That is £40 of ink, plus the printer, all for £48 ....wait better order one quickly, thanks OP

Voted cold because I have this printer and I repeatedly punch it right in its smug little ink spunking face.

It doesn't work.

is it true you can't scan wirelessly

Unless you are going to wirelessly float the printed pages in to your hand, just get a wired one and save all the network issues.

anybody who works in an office knows even professional printers with a whole IT team still dont work.

OP. What a weirdo!
