Not quite as cheap as it was a few months back (30 quid @ Argos for a while) but looks like the best current deal for a budget printer/scanner/copier from Epson or Canon (most reliable makes IMX) See previous deal for details of 3rd party inks etc:-

I bought one in October from Argos for £39.99 including 3 year warranty

Bought this kit when it was £40. Have to say, one of, if not, the best printer I've ever had. Inks are reasonably cheap and does pure Wireless printing, including front paper loading.

Brilliant printer for this price.

Looks like you can get a 3year warranty now for an extra tenner currently, I was tempted, just for once.

mmm yes, see what you mean, presumably they're getting rid of their remaining stock. Round my way there's still stock at Bournemouth Post Office Rd. and Poole but nowhere else between Southampton and Poole.

shame that oos everywhere I looked

Awful printer! Inks only seem to last about 5 minutes!

I have only had a month or so and have had to replace both inks twice already!
Note we don't print much other than the odd word document not lots of colour or high page coverage.

It looks like a set of cartridges on Ebay is £17, so far more than Epson printers where you can often pick up a set for around £2.

still in stock to reserve and collect at Clacton on sea and colchester

Not a bad printer (which I bought for £25 new locally), but if I had to buy a printer again I would go for a mono laser, which I now realise suits my needs better & is probably much cheaper to run. But, of course, no scan/copy functions with a mono laser!

I don't know how you got that, as one can pick up a set of XL cartridges for under £16 - here's an example.

Or, have your old cartridges (both std & XL) refilled for £8.50+ £2.80 2nd Class postage to send them in.
