Cheers Computerman Ordered one

I have one of these, very good, nice printing, scans and copy well.
Refills are expensive, but I have managed to refill them OK
I paid about £35 last year for mine

thanks OP ordered i have got a canon pixma MP460 same cartidges £17.99 to buy each
so ordered keep printer or if not as good as my MP460 just use the cartridges that's if play.com
honor the deal

Hve this very printer sitting on my desk right now. Cost me £30 from Tesco a few months back. Really high tech machine if you ask me, has many options and buttons. Dont know about printing costs as i havent looked yet. But good machine all round.

I have one; bought a year ago for £20 (after cash-back). Only lightly used so I can't say much for the ink usage and costs - ink is a lot cheaper and lasts longer than with my old HP PSC; in fact the printer cost less than a single cartridge for the HP. A pair of cartridges will still cost you more than the printer; I did try some cheapo re-manufactured cartridges on it but they weren't much cheaper than the authentic Canon cartridges and both sets (from different sellers) were faulty and had to be returned for a refund.
It has been very good and reliable; plain text printing is very good and the few photos I've printed have been pretty good quality; the scanner is not the highest of resolutions; but I have been pleased with the results. It's fast to startup and shutdown. The only fault is that the printer seems to snatch the paper into it's rollers - it's fine if you have several sheets in the feed tray but a couple of times it's scrunched up single sheets - this is at least better than the HP which often refused to feed paper at all and had no end of other faults.

I have one of these.
The cartridges are £15 each.

printer not feeding paper now after 6 mths use

Was £22 yesterday but decided not to buy as inks too expensive, went for the brother all in one @£60 amazon ,inks are onlya few quid for a full set

yeah canon good printers cartridges are dear and like other post tired cheap ones not worth it i found over the last 2 years i have bought 3 new printer all the same in new year sales whatever its cheaper
to buy a new printer than to replace the cartridges

Why is the deal expred?

shouldn't be expired, still in stock on play for this price

Cheap but expensive carts, you are better off paying more for a printer that uses cheap compats

I've got one of these and for the past three years I've been refilling it via an injection of ink I bought off ebay for a fraction of the cost of official refills.

But then, I only use black ink and the quality doesn't have to be mint (although it looks the same to me)

I'll echo what others have said in that it's a nice printer but the running costs are fairly hefty. I'm a big fan of Canon printers but I'd definately spend the extra money and get something that takes individual ink cartridges.

Here's the PC Pro review, it more or less says that its a low budget no-frills printer with fairly high running costs.

Still available

In stock.....

It's expired because the price has gone upto £49.99.
