Cheap ink?

You can always buy a refill pack for the ink. You can't go cheap if you buy an original cartridge. For my 3 in 1 Canon I buy black refill packs from Asda. They have and in colour too but I don't print in colour so I haven't used it yet. The ink is alright for the price you pay and if you set up the printer to use less ink it will last even longer. With average usage my pack lasted more than an year, so pretty cheap I think.

This is a good printer but the oem cartridge costs are outragous. Not many 3rd party ones work well as printer detects these and filling is very hit and miss.

i bought the canon mp250 yesterday from my local argos 34.99 all in one thingy. also came with vouchers in the box for £5 off your ink cartridge every month for the next year if u buy from argos, so this swayed it for me.

I had one of these and its a cracking piece of kit

Can't see any on the site? Looks like they are all gone?

I was looking at that one as well since posting this,I noticed the 190 is Inkjet and the 250 is laser
what difference does that make if any? is Laser better?

Instore only ,Clearance bargain stores in Walsall,Stanley,Co.Durham and Corby,Northants.
They are an offshoot of Argos selling off managers specials etc although a lot of the items are brand
new sealed.

cant answer that one for you as im really only in it for a cheap printer to print out the odd bit for the kids and vouchers here and there, but what i can say is im very impressed for the price. x

Got a MP210 which is almost exact same. Very good printer and scanner. Non-oem cartidges available from:

www.choicestationery.co.uk/printer3_o.asp?printer_selection=5747&group_selection=9&manu_selection=10

Have larger capacity than oem and work fine (although the ink levels still show as empty on maintenance--unless anyone knows how to re-set them?)

I just bought the Canon MP640 for £109.95 ! (BECAUSE you can get compat carts)

Bought one of these over a year ago (£20 after Canon cash back) - so far it's been very dependable; we don't use it heavily, but unlike previous Epson and HP models it works perfectly after a week or two idle. Ink isn't the cheapest - but half the price of my old HP so I don't begrudge paying for it.
Photo prints are surprisingly good for such a cheap model and normal prints are very good.

Any MP190 owners here manage to rest the ink levels on this printer? Refilled inks show up as empty so will only last a little while before failing. There are many instructions on the internet that doesn't work.
