Looking for a cheap printer for a friend and found this, unfortunately sold out in my City, but they have stock in many other places. So thought I'd post on here, seeing as it's around £20.00 pound cheaper then everywhere else.

I'd Say that's some what of a hot deal, grab them while it lasts.

on the look outfor printer
Thanks op been looking for one of.these for a few weeks. Got last one in Bath.
For those asking, cartridges are:
B&W: Canon PG 512
Colour: Canon CL 511
Just my two cents, but you are always better getting a machine with individual CMYK tanks, as with machines like this one when one colour runs out you are forced throw all the other good ones away. I was going to buy this for the mother in law but it's that that's put me off it.

And the inks aren't that cheap, even if choosing the compatibles. . .

nice price, got this for £34 a month ago from argos.
anybody else seen any cheap wireless printers? dont have a clue what to go for and dont really want to spend more than £40, none of these left in glasgow
Would be tempted, but none in stock anywhere in the east midlands.
As for the ink costs, Canon have the smallest ink droplets so inks last.
I had an Epson with individual colour cartridges which used to run out very quickly, my current Canon with similar cartridges to this lasts months. Canon are the most efficient printers, with HP slightly worst and Epson the worst of all.

cheap printer with multi ink cart a false economy
Good price, none near me though @ Manchester and Liverpool.
20 Quid for a printer with no ink is totally NOT a good deal, let alone one that takes those multi-colour cartridges. Cold

A few years this thing will most likely end up in landfill, its not the kind of printer you can use a lot due to the wasteful and expensive cartridge type, i have had these things before and always ended up chucking them away, get a CMYK ink printer

Maybe it's just my Epson rx420 but it has individual carts however one flags up empty you change it hours later the next shows empty, change it and then the last runs out. Change that and the 1st colour is empty. Just change all of em together or reset the chip for 70% more use.
Do modern printers with separate colours actually save money or is it just a gimmick that u purge 50% of the ink needlessly.
Only ever had problems with Canon printers.

My Epson R300 still going strong.
I still have the inks that came with mine, (they weren't testers) from a HP wireless printer sold on offer at Ryman, when those run out ill buy a continuous ink set from ebay and probs never have to buy printer ink again
I don't think £20 for a canon wireless printer with no ink is totally NOT a good deal, I think it's a cracking deal if you can get one, and even if the ink is not the cheapest, you can still get genuine Canon cartridges delivered for under half price, and probably even cheaper if you where to look for 3rd party one's, and even if it does get thrown out in a few years time, who cares for £20. I'm sure you would of had your money's worth by then.

Whilst I'm sure that's the case for you, I can say the exact opposite - I've had nothing but trouble with Epson and have had my Canon for...I can't even remember exactly how many years, 7 minimum.
Just the luck of the draw I guess!
Let's get some focus here.... This site is called hotukdeals, the poster has found wireless printer for les than £20, can anyone offer a cheaper price for THIS printer?????

If Not then pipe down please!

Ifsomeoneiswilling to cost up yr 1/2/3 costs for a viable alternative say for moderate home printing use and compare to this printer then I am willing to pipe down myself.

lol pipe down please, i will say what i like thanks, i was pointing out as others have, that the lack of ink and the multi-color cart is going to be more expensive, besides Ryman have wireless printers WITH ink for 30 quid hell printers have ALWAYS been cheap. The money comes from the consumable.
