its the MX395 not MP

compatible inks for about £28, genuine around £36 (a pair), you can't complain about that at all, heat added

Uses a single colour cartridge making these very expensive & wasteful foe colour printing/copying

Printer may be cheap but even recycled ink cartridges are not

Sorry Cold

Single cartridge for colour is very inefficient & wasteful as you are unlikely to use all colours at the same rate.

I pay around £1 each for compatible carts for my Epson AIO & replace the individual colours as I use them.....sometimes I replace 2 of one colour before I've used all of another.....£4 - £5 for a complete set of inks

£70 difference in initial purchase price wiped out after a couple of sets of ink

I am very interested in an AIO that has £1 compatible cartridges. Care to share? Hope that the initial purchase price is not over £100 though.

Even Canon Pixma printers have compatible pink for less than £1 a cartridge!
Why on Earth would people spend >£10 on a cartridge (ink) is beyond me.

That's a pretty high entry cost for the printer... shame, or I'd have jumped on that already.

Hence why no-one should buy this Canon Pixma printer. Other Canon Pixma inks are less than £1 a cartridge (seperate colours too) which means it's worth investing in a more expensive printer due to the huge savings on any ink purchased.

That's the point I was making...in general....cheap printer = expensive ink & more expensive printer with better features = cheaper ink

In general, Canon printers are pretty crappy on inks, aren't they? I can't seem to find one Canon printer from the Pixma range with affordable cartridges, even compatible ones
