Great reviews! Read through them to see if it had WiFi also, afraid this doesn't. But even without. HEAT for the price!

Also no USB cable comes with this.

For info: PCAdvisor 3/5 - pcadvisor.co.uk/rev…ew/

"The Canon Pixma MX395 is designed to appeal to anyone that thinks a cheap printer provides good value. Clue: it won't."

Waste of money. Buy a proper printer like the Epson WorkForce that was on here and you won't regret it.

Save your money by 'investing' in an Epson printer - 99p inks (or cheaper if you buy more) are worth paying a little more upfront for. Owned a Canon previously and it took me a while to realise I was being fooled by paying 15 quid for 2x black inks.

Cold. Canon printers are daylight robbers.

Cold. Go for the Epson instead.

I own a very cheap cannon printer, much prefer it to the epson i used to have. Its great. I just refill the cartridges myself. I bought a kit with needles and syringes then now I just buy ink as and when I need it from ebay. I have refilled them many many times without problems.Buying cannon inks costs more than the printer itself but refilling yourself costs next to nowt !

This printer has a " single " colour cartridge, bad news.

Totally agree with you. Buy no printer that you cannot refill yourself. Otherwise you are royally ripped off with replacement consumables. Most printers these days are pretty good quality wise. Most couldn't distinguish between their output and most of what we print probably isn't quality critical anyway.

Printers are always pretty cheap - it's the ink that isn't!

no WiFi! !!?? thought they all were these days

I would never buy another Epson printer ever again, they are the worst, by far the dearest printer to maintain.

Buy HP or Canon, best user friendly printers for the whole family.

No WI-FI, What's the point.Cold for me.

Any chance of sharing the tools of your trade and places of purchase (always prefer to buy tried and trusted if possible) please?

Do Canon ebay still do refurbished deals? I know someone who is looking for a cheap 'n' cheerful printer...I got a Canon MP495/499 (wifi) for under £20 a year or so ago, thanks to HUKD, and it's still going strong.

I've found I can refill cartridges around three times (though I am still quite new to the art of refilling)!

This is all the UK Canon outlet have at the moment, been like this for some time now. ]

This is most likely the case with an older model, newer models have cartridges that are finicky. I had older models before but the cartridges would produce terrible quality prints after two or three refills. Also, as it involves you injecting the ink through a hole on top, the ink tended to leak out while printing.

Not everyone is as resourceful and have the time to take a risk like that. For me, I found that it was too much work. Hence why I'd rather save the effort and went for the Epson I currently use.

Hope this gives others a realistic idea of what you are buying into when you buy Canon.

looks a good one

Canon printers are much better at text / graphics than epson ones, no wifi, not surprised because its under £30. YGWYPF

It's 27.99 bones, the quality is going to be crap.

ok. the smaller one was about the same price in B and M these were on offer last month in staples.
hp one around same price at tesco

you'd have to pay me to buy an inkjet printer and even then I'd think I was getting a raw deal.

Hmm not sure if you have ever tried one from their new 'Workforce' range like the one that was posted here last week. Apart from the decent quality of the output and speed of printing, you can buy a compatible ink cartridge set for £3.50 delivered from Amazon or eBay. I bought 5 sets for £15 delivered recently. Work just as well as the original ones, combined with the 'Kodak' branded Poundland glossy paper, it's cheaper for me to print photos at home than even bulk buying from a lab.

This can be found on staples website for cheaper. I posted this on here not so long ago.

FYI, £28.99 is not cheaper than £27.99
