Pocket-sized and packed with features
Wrapped in a sleek metal body, the PowerShot A3300 IS captures everything in stunning 16 Megapixel detail. Dynamic Image Stabilizer ensures that HD movies are sharp and steady.

16.0 Megapixels
A very high resolution sensor produces stunning quality images, and allows printing of very large prints or cropping the image to achieve the desired composition.
28mm wide, 5x zoom lens
A 28mm wide-angle view provides greater scope for wide landscapes and indoor shots, while a 5x optical telephoto function allows the user to zoom in on details and frame more creatively.
Optical Image Stabilizer
An optical Image Stabilizer makes this camera’s performance really stand out. Compensating for camera shake in challenging conditions such as lower light or when shooting with the longer end of the zoom range, the Image Stabilizer helps you capture images in full detail and with less blur at all times.
7.5 cm (3.0") LCD
A big screen makes viewing and sharing images a pleasure in any lighting condition. Subjects appear in vivid detail, giving more confidence to the user when framing and composing.
Smart Auto, Easy mode and Hints & Tips
With Smart Auto, you can take great photos at just the press of a button. The camera automatically selects the most appropriate scene from a possible 32 and applies the best settings for a perfect picture. Easy mode prevents you from accidently changing settings, while Hints & Tips provide a brief explanation of the camera’s features.
HD Movies (720p) with Dynamic IS
The PowerShot A3300 IS features 720p video capture, allowing you to record scenes in high definition quality. Dynamic IS uses the optical Image Stabilizer to reduce wobble on movies shot while moving such as when walking close to your subject.
Live View Control and Creative Filters
Live View Control allows you to easily adjust various picture settings while framing the shot. 6 Creative Filters including Miniature and Toy Camera Effect produce impressive results to spark your imagination.
Face Detection, Auto Red-Eye Correction
Face Detection Technology detects up to 35 faces in a single frame and ensures that people remain in focus and with optimum brightness. Red-eye is automatically removed immediately after the shot is taken or during playback.
DIGIC 4
Canon’s DIGIC 4 processor drives responsive operation, superb image quality and colour reproduction. Advanced Noise Reduction ensures richly detailed, cleaner images, even at high ISO speeds.

Hot deal, good camera. X)
Have they increased the pixel count but left the sensor the same size ?

Although the processor is Digic 4 so still amazing for £49
great find, cheapest on other site is 79
Thanks, I ordered a blue one, will keep as a future gift, really good price even if the camera doesn't win any awards.
Ordered, cheers. Will make a decent gift. Reviews are positive and £49 is a great price for Canon hardware.
Could be excellent with

Dunno how you managed to get a silver one as it was also out of stock I would suggest getting the red one as unless you got the silver one much earlier today they may well tell you can't get one.
Looks good but I want one which takes ordinary rechargeable batteries - much easier to have a supply charged and ready when out and about, and I reckon they last longer. We've got a Panasonic Lumix which has a Li-ion battery like this one has, and it's dead after about 40-50 pics.

How can that be possibly be a downside? There's nothing worse than a camera that can't be used when it's charging.

I have the WB500 (earlier model) and the only downside is it's quite bulky, the same with the WB600.
Malc_32 - Thank you, I wanted a pocketable one, and went for this, hopefully this one isn't too bulky!
Been hunting for a cheap, but decent point and shoot to go with my Nikon D7000 DSLR. Ordered the blue version. Bargain price for a camera with optical stabilisation and a 3" LCD! There isn't anything on the market for £49 to match the A3300IS specs.
Did anyone else get collection Instore not available ?

I have just try it out after reading your post, it can only record 10mins per session, this is just like the canon A1100 I got. If there is a way around it then it would be nice to know.
