This is a bargain as far I am concerned. I use this Canon camera and it gets brilliant reviews constantly. Using the same cpu as the pro Canon camera's (Digic3) it produces stunning images. And for the people who wish to be a bit more adventurous you have full manual control over lots of the in camera options. If you just want to point and shot then use the EASY settings and the camera does it for you.

here are some stats...

* 8.0 Megapixels
* 4x zoom with optical Image Stabilizer
* Motion Detection Technology
* Face Detection Technology
* Red-Eye Correction
* DIGIC III and iSAPS
* 2.5" LCDand OVF
* 19 Shooting Modes and My Colors
* VGA and LP movies
* Range of accessories
* Included Euro 08 Football

Don't be fooled by MegaPixels - a good lens and image processor will outperform higher megapixels every time.

You can even flash a modified firmware to these for greater functionality:

I purchased this camera in March 2008, it was only a couple of month's old then,
I paid £112.05 from BT shop,
Canon were also doing a £30 cashback offer,
Also Quidco of £2.38,
So I only paid £79.67,
There is a problems with the camera though, it really does eat batteries as it only takes 2 AA batteries, Canon don't supply a rechargable battery, I was lucky to get 10 pictures from a set of Duracell plus batteries without using the flash, I thought there was something wrong with the camera.

I treated myself to a new set of 4 Uniross AA 2700 mAh NI-MH batteries, at £8.99 free P&P,

and the latest hi technology battery charger at £26.99 free P&P included, from Battery Logic, it charges each cell individually to its full capacity, and will even revive old tyred cells to full capacity,

Since I bought these batteries and charger I have never looked back, I'm still on the first pair of batteries and have done well over 150 shots and still going strong.

There is only a 32mb sd card included, so I needed to buy a 1 GB SD card for £2.95 from,

So I only paid £118.60 in total, a very good camera for the price, perfect for quality pictures for Ebay.

Superhands - thanks for the info.

There's nothing wrong with your camera. They all seem to eat Alkalines.
The only sensible way to use them is with rechargeables.
I found out the hard way years ago with a Kodak digital.
